TOP Homestay
Pros:

Dit is een TOP homestay! De eigenaar Kasun en zijn broer Pathum zijn GEWELDIG! Ze zijn zo ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Geen vraag is hen te veel. Het ontbijt was lekker, mooie ruime kamer en verfrissend zwembad. Fantastische locatie ook. Op enkele minuten rijden van de leeuwenrots en vele restaurants.

Pros:

Alojamiento perfecto para quedarte en Sigiriya. La habitación era muy amplia y tenía todo lo necesario, incluido aire acondicionado y mosquitera. Además cuenta con una piscina estupenda que nos vino muy bien para el calor que hacía. Pero sobre todo queremos destacar la amabilidad de los anfitriones, que nos trataron de 10 y estuvieron todo el rato preocupados por que estuviésemos lo mejor posible.

Zeer goede gastheer
Pros:

Zeer goede gastheer.
we waren er op een feestdag waardoor de meeste restaurants dicht waren, werd ik door gastheer op de scooter naar een restaurant gebracht die wel open was om eten te kunnen bestellen.
Gastheer deed er alles aan om het naar onze zin te maken.
Mooie plek, in de natuur, tussen de rijstvelden en een meer.

Cons:

Niets, was wel iets hobbelige weg om er te komen.

Śniadania smaczne , urozmaicone, gospodarz dopytuje co dzieci zjedzą i robi pod nich . Bardzo pomocny gospodarz. Basen którego można korzystać do woli w pięknym otoczeniu przyrody . Dał wskazówki gdzie i co zobaczyć.

Amazing hosts and outstanding breakfast
Pros:

- Such a wonderful start to our journey in Sri Lanka
- The hosts were incredibly kind and caring – always checking in on us. Even helped us get diapers for our kids, organized dinner and was so thoughtful about our baby & toddler.
- Amazing breakfast – one of the best we had on our trip
- Beautiful pool with a separate shallow area for children
- Great location next to rice fields and lake
- Fairly priced transport was organized for us, along with great local tips

Very Bad stay and paying extra money for VAT - 18% for your stay.

It was so difficult to reach the place as it is complicated in the map, as well as it is so far from the main road.
Not the exact pictures shown in the booking.com, we found horribly bad when we enter as it was not the same. Since it was night we spent over there. As well as even after we reserve the room, they ask at what time we are coming and they had to go for some repairs, meant their room was not ready. Actually we reserved at last minute and still it was pending, then we had to have our dinner until the room got ready and even the bathroom was smelly when we enter.

And specially, BE CAREFUL as they charge extra 18% VAT even though they do not pay it to the government, this owner even does not know anything. We assume that he was pretending that he does not know. Because he said Booking.com is charging them 18% and they repay to the Sri Lanka government. But I know personally, booking.conm never charge except their room commission which they agree with us. And the other thing, he is not ready to offer you a bill.

Since we know that we do not want to pay VAT for the booking.com, we questioned why are you charging VAT from us. He was totally disagree and he refused to give the bill as well as he was confirming, booking.com still charge from him.

The thing is service charge and VAT portion still you can edit from your property side and there is nothing to do with booking.com

Therefore, be careful they are charging extra money from you all showing up different kinds of things. Even for just black coffee he charged Rs.400

And bathroom does not have pressure pump and water comes very slowly. And the mosquito nets are very dirty.

Объект расположен в таком аутентичном очень интересном и невероятно красивом месте. Рядом с отелем огромное озеро и рисовые поля. Хорошо работает кондиционер. Завтрак понравился. Можно увидеть белочек, интересных красивых птичек. Вдалеке за кроном дерева даже видно Сигирию. Невероятно добродушный и общительный парень Patum встретит вас со всей шри-ланкийской добротой и улыбкой

Caring family made the stay wonderful
Pros:

Wonderful caring people made our stay so great, helped arrange our collection from the train station, arranged late dinner, transport to sites and information about local viewpoints and safety with elephants in the region. Amazing breakfast and even helped us get some medicine we needed!

Séjour merveilleux avec des hôtes incroyables
Pros:

L’accueil de Kansun et sa famille étais incroyable. Ils nous ont super bien conseillés sur les activités et les lieux aux alentours as des prix défiants toute concurrence. L’établissement est super, la piscine est un vrai plus et les petits déjeuners sont merveilleux. On as même eu droit à une visite avec lui et son frère avec les explications de chaque plantes, dégustation de fruits, épices de son jardin. Il nous as même conseillé sur le reste de notre aventure, en nous indiquant des lieux peu connus et en restant en contact avec nous même à distance afin de continuer à nous aiguiller. Merci encore pour ce temps passés avec vous.
