Beautiful view. Close to things we wanted to do.

Cons:

There was not a bedside table on both sides of bed. I had to drag a CB air over have a place to charge my phone and have a bottle of water.

Where to begin? The hotel lives on a name from the past. But other than the location, the hotel is a regular sleeping-factory that is in dire need of upgrading. The West tower has four elevators of which only two were operational. Or at least, I only ever saw two of them working. And with more than twenty floors, that means long waits for an elevator. The room was dirty. Hair from previous occupants shaving still in the sink, a dirty couch, nasty smears on the bottom of the shower/bath. Staff were uninterested in providing services. Example: “You can call the hotel restaurant yourself for a reservation”. I paid $50 for two breakfasts, but received vouchers; the vouchers can be used on the breakfast buffet, or you can order a la carte, which is the same food, but brought to the table. Food was not good, but plentiful. All people were stashed in a small part of the breakfast area, even though there was plenty more room available, which provides a noisy and very busy atmosphere.
Overall, the experience was not what I had hoped for.

Overall, disappointing.
Pros:

Location, the room, the pool.

Cons:

Reception staff were grumpy and not welcoming. Didn't give us breakfast vouchers so we had to leave breakfast and traipse to reception to get them.
Bars were closed for a mystery event so we couldn't get a drink and the second day, the breakfast buffet was closed so we had to wait ages for a la carte.
A pint glass was on the corridor near our room for the whole stay. No sign of housekeeping - a sign in the bathroom suggested new towels would come but they didn't.
