Pros:

The room was great! Beautiful view of the Bayonne Bridge! Bright and cheerful decor. Very clean and comfortable! I checked in late at night and the clerk was super helpful and nice. Location is great for Manhattan travelers because busses are literally right there and it's close to the ferry. Breakfast was good. 👍😁

Cons:

Downside, bad neighborhood. No on premise parking. Would be great if empty lot next door was a secure parking lot!!

Not very pleasant. But there is only 1 other hotel im aware of in SI

after overcoming my fears regarding the neighborhood, they stay was uneventful and pleasant.
Pros:

room was extremely clean. staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

neighborhood that the hotel was in was rough. parking was only on street parking. public areas of the hotel were very average in appearance.

Location was convenient for me.

The housekeeping staff was friendly and professional. Thank you!

Cons:

During my stay a few items were stolen, which included my passport.
The hotel doors did not officially lock. How is this possible?
Nothing was seen on the video cameras allegedly.
More than one guest complained about missing items as well.
The neighborhood isn't a vacation destination. People with their own lives visit to take care of their own business. Stacking up another problem is a thing that should not be, on top of everything else! I'll never stay there again.

Pros:

The Days Inn is an amazing value; usually hotels in NYC are either way too expensive for what it offers or cheap but disgusting. The location is close to perfect; 10 min bus ride or 5 min drive to the SI ferry and 20 mins to EWR. I've stayed here a few times and every stay the rooms were well cleaned and comfortable. The staff was always very friendly and helpful; they try their hardest to accommodate guests.

The bed was comfortable

Cons:

The staff was rude. They said I didn’t pay and I had to wait 30 minutes in my car after driving three hours to call Booking.com so they can call them and verify. The bathroom smell like smoke and my room door didn’t lock. The only way it locked was by the extra security lock at the top.
