Wilpattu Restaurant & Guest house

Please please stay here, the staff are so lovely and super hospitality. As soon as I booked to stay here I had immediate communication to organise a pick up from the train station in pattalam. We organised the safari with them too which so easy as the jeep picked us up from the homestay. We had a lovely morning at wilpattu national park an managed to see elephants, sloth bear, crocodiles, wild deers and much more. Additionally they were able to personally take us to our next hostel in trincomalee which was a 2.5 hour journey.
Additionally the food was great and also super affordable. They have ice cream and snacks available along with fresh smoothies. We were just so impressed with how hospitable all the staff were.
Other highlights were free breakfast, clean bathrooms, comfy bed and also the view from the balcony. Beautiful view of the sunset and fields, super chill.

We really enjoyed our stay here! There is a beautiful garden with a cute place to relax and eat just next to the rice fields. The food is really nice and the people very kind! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The host arranged a safari for us and we also borrowed bikes to discover the beautiful environment.

The family owning the questhouse was very kind. They make you feel comfartble en greet you with a warm welcome. The food there is super nice. The garden is beautiful to sit and have diner. Also the family helps you with every question.

Tuvimos una estancia maravillosa. La familia nos trató increíblemente bien y estuvo atenta a nosotros en todo momento, asegurándose siempre de que estuviéramos cómodos y de que no nos faltara nada. Todo muy limpio.
El jeep para el safari de Wilpattu nos recogió directamente en el alojamiento.
Estamos muy agradecidos por su hospitalidad y sin duda recomendaríamos este lugar.

Brilliant stay here! The hosting family are really accommodating and friendly. Safari and transfer to our next destination were arranged smoothly - transport is available via the family’s new car. Our room was spacious. Beautiful garden seating area for meals and relaxing. The best mango juice is served here 🙌. Special thanks to Kaushika for being so wonderful 😊😊😊. All the best!

Das Zimmer ist gut und, da wir das Zimmer mit Gartenblick hatten, auch ruhig. Die Zimmer mit Seeblick haben zwar die bessere Aussicht, allerdings liegen diese zur Hauptstraße hin, wofür wir aber die Lautstärke nicht einschätzen können. Die Familie ist super nett und auch das Restaurant mit dem Frühstück war sehr gut. 👍🏽 Die Gästezimmer gibt es erst seit 2 Jahren, weshalb alles sehr neu wirkte.
Wir haben uns außerdem von Kaushika vom Flughafen abholen lassen, da die Kommunikation über Booking und später WhatsApp sehr gut mit ihm geklappt hat. Er hat uns außerdem am Abreisetag nach Sigiriya gefahren und war unser gut geschulter Guide bei der bei Ihnen gebuchten Full-Day-Safari. Bei der Safari wurde auf unsere Wünsche Rücksicht genommen und wir haben nicht nur viele verschiedene Vögel, Rehe, einen Elefanten im See baden gesehen, neben einem Krokodil zu Mittag gegessen, sondern auch einen Leoparden gefunden 😊. Der Fahrer und Guide haben hierbei gute Arbeit geleistet, dass wir ihn sehen konnten, da natürlich mehrere Jeeps da waren und jeder Versucht hat ihn zu sehen, wobei aber der gegenseitige Respekt aller Fahrer zu spüren war. Unser vegetarisches Essen im Restaurant als auch auf der Safari waren immer sehr gut und lecker. Und vor allem der Mangosaft! Also ein Rundum-Sorglos-Paket und absolut empfehlenswert!

Está bien ubicado para hacer el safari de Wilpattu. Kaushika nos recogió en el aeropuerto e hicimos el safari con el, es encantador y muy trabajador! Muy recomendable, os ayudará con lo que os haga falta.
La habitación es básica, limpia y para pasar una noche suficiente.

Het personeel heeft voor ons de safari geregeld, ophaalservice, diner en taxi naar het volgend verblijf. Erg fijn en goed geregeld!

The owner was extremely nice! Really helpful, friendly and brought us to Anuradupura
