Nice hotel and location, could be cleaner
Pros:

Nice hotel, good location and staff were pleasant

Cons:

Leisure facilities are a little grubby and dated
The rooms were nice but the bathroom could have been cleaner, thick rust around bathroom taps made it look like they hadn't had a proper clean

did not stay
Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

We booked a delux room. Do they understand delux? Shown a room which we declined. Then shown a second room and they offered to move the "Delux Package" to that room (Dressing G and disposable slippers). The room was dark, dismal, paint chips everywhere. We asked for mony back (£470 for two nights) and we went to Travellodge in Stirling. supurb in comparison. Did get our money back so compliment them on that front. Booking.com need to review this hotel before recomending it further!

Building has great potential. Staff were friendly, location was great, just a bit shabby needs tlc
Pros:

The location and building were great

Cons:

Room and bathroom were not very clean. Breakfast was not brilliant, fruit looked old, black pudding tasted odd. You also have to pay £10 for parking

It was fine but wouldn’t go back
Pros:

The architecture on the outside and some old features still exist inside

Cons:

Didn’t feel it warranted four stars

Great location, need to improve rooms and facilities in rooms
Pros:

Lovely building, great location, nice staff

Cons:

The room had zero air con or fans and the heat at night was ridiculous. No real air flow at all so even with windows open it was very uncomfortable.
