Entspannt mitten in Basel
Pros:

Ich bekam ein Upgrade fürs Euler und damit ein grosses Zimmer. Perfekte Lage mit SBB und alles Trams vor der Haustür.

Cons:

Das Gebläse im Bad lief permanent und liess sich nicht abstellen.

Pros:

Good location 5 minutes walk from the main train station, nice area lots of places to get food, we were at the rear of the hotel so it was quite good shower in the room,

Cons:

Check in was difficult, the reception at the city inn was closed even though it said it would be open in a email the hotel sent me until 2200 we were there at 2030, so we had to go to the hotel next door that it's linked to to check in and they struggled to find my booking so it took quite a long time before getting my room key, the beds in the room were very hard so I did find it a little difficult to get to sleep

Günstiges einfaches Hotel mit guter Lage
Pros:

Die Lage unmittelbar am Bhf SBB

Cons:

Man checkte im schönen Hotel EULER ein aber ging anschließend durch ein Labyrinth von Gängen mit abgetretenen Teppichböden in einen Anbau.
Das Zimmer war sehr einfach eher wie eine Jugendherberge…

Location - just steps away from the train station, buses and trams. Within walking distance of a nice park and historical sights. Breakfast was a good continental fare.

Cons:

Room was smaller than anticipated. The description does say 139 square feet - I just didn't realize how much room is left after squeezing a King size bed in there. Bathroom was also very small, so if you're built extra sturdy you may have a little trouble getting around in there. And if there are 2 of you - fahget-about--it.

To be avoided!
Pros:

Staff were helpful and upgraded us to their sister hotel, the Metropole.

Cons:

Rooms tiny, claustrophobic shade of green, no overhead light, hard to find access when arriving at 10pm, maze of long corridors and stairs to access rooms which was hard with luggage. Probably ok if you need very basic, hostel type accommodation, but terrible value for the price.
