Comfortable with great facilities
Pros:

Comfortable, clean, well kept and designed, excellent facilities and restaurants and a cosmopolitan vibe. Very handy to have the kitchenette in the room, but there are enough facilities not to need it.

Cons:

It's large and a bit of a maze, but once you understand the lay-out it is all clear. Wouldnt stop me from coming again.

Great Location with LOTS of Amenities.
Pros:

I liked that our room went directly out to the pool area & that the entrance was outside as well. The pool area was really nice with the restaurants around it. Having the multiple dining places, coffee shop, & cocktail bars was such a plus! Great location in the city as well! It felt like you were on a resort properly tucked in a very busy city!

Cons:

We had a very early flight in & arrived at the hotel in the AM. We were aware that check in was not until 4pm; however, the staff told us that as soon as the other guests checked out, they would have our rooms cleaned & we would be able to check in. This did not happen & when 4pm came around, the rooms were still not ready.

Decent hotel with great gym - but small rooms, confusing layout.
Pros:

We felt this was a pretty good base for Lisbon. The location is pretty good, right in central Lisbon, within walking distance of the beautiful parklands. Plenty of supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. We made the final decision to stay here based on the nice gym and had a few good workouts there. There are a few pieces of decent cardio gear and a great selection of free weights including 2 power racks with Olympic weights, Smith rack with dual pulley system, and a complete set of dumbbells and several benches. The room was OK and everything was clean and bright and relatively comfortable. The pool area and garden courtyard are both very nice, along with a couple of nice restaurants. Overall we had a good stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Cons:

Our room was nice but small and cramped. We were always getting in each other’s way and not much space to spread out. The little kitchenette was basic but functional, while the sitting/dining area was cramped and not well laid out. The TV was behind/above the couch so couldn’t be watched from the couch. The bathroom was definitely just a one-person-at-a-time affair. The hotel layout was confusing, with multiple ground levels in different parts of the hotel and elevators spread out all over the place. Everybody seemed to be walking around lost, trying to get from point A to point B.

Pros:

Pool was nice but always busy

Cons:

Room was so small. No shower gel filled up. Took them over an hour to fill after I asked. First room they put me in looked like a dungeon. Not worth the price

Heavily overpriced for an apart hotel.
Pros:

The pool was more decorative than functional, small in size, though the seating area around it was pleasant. On good days it filled up quickly, so people could only sunbathe rather than swim. The only real positive we can mention is that the beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The room we were first assigned (D208) was completely different from the advertised studio: almost no natural light, no sofa, and located far from the entrance. After our complaint, we were moved to a pool‑view studio on the 4th floor, which matched expectations. These two rooms should not be considered the same category.

Several listed amenities were missing, such as a clothes dryer and hair dryer. When we asked reception, we were given a broken one with the remark it “should already be in the room.” Even basic hospitality touches like complimentary water were absent, something I’ve seen even in hotels below 4‑star level.

Finally, the fees for early check‑in and late check‑out were unusually high compared to other hotels. Overall, while the second room was fine, the initial experience, missing amenities, and extra charges make it hard to justify the price for a 4‑star rating.

Pros:

We had a great time staying at Locke de Santa Joana. Kind staff, beautifully designed rooms, very clean and quiet. The bed was super comfortable too. We've been exploring Lisbon on foot mostly and didn't feel like it was too far from the main attractions. Plus there's a couple of sweet coffee shops close by which offered the perfect start into the day ☀️

Great location to discover city, but noisy environment. Good Gym. Small & not so clean rooms
Pros:

Great location in walking distance of city center, nice large terrace (1-bedroom suite) and good gym as per pictures.

Cons:

Location in front of fire department and large roundabout means a lot of noise all day/night long, room was not clean upon arrival and never properly cleaned. Despite 1-bedroom suite the size is tiny and you can hardly walk around the bed. Breakfast very basic and outdoor area was closed (despite sunny May) so you have to eat inside dark windowless area...
Door to terrace was wrongly installed and bed covers torn...

That said, we felt incredibly comfortable and genuinely loved our stay. We would absolutely return.
Pros:

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Locke. The check-in was efficient, and the reception team was welcoming, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. A special mention also goes to the pool and the hotel bar staff — the drinks were the best we had, and the service was genuinely outstanding: warm, attentive, and effortlessly friendly.

The hotel itself is fantastic for an urban getaway — a perfect balance between vibrant city energy and a calm oasis for relaxation, inspiration, and connection. The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, with an international crowd and a very positive vibe.

Our room was ideal for a private reunion weekend. Spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with lovely views over the pool. Having two beds worked perfectly for us, and we especially appreciated the kitchenette with a dishwasher and fridge. The bathroom was also surprisingly private and well insulated, which made sharing the room much easier and more comfortable.

Cons:

Only two very small points for improvement: unfortunately, a garlic clove had been left in the fridge from previous guests, which caused quite a strong smell. And considering the room rate, complimentary water in the room would have been appreciated — especially as water at reception is rather expensive.
