Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing.
Pros:

Clean, great restaurant, nice breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms.

Cons:

This is not a $1k/ night hotel. (Not in the USA at least.) It was easily the nicest place we stayed at in Iceland.
We would stay there again. Just a bit pricey.

The location is amazing. The hotel is beautiful and extremely clean. The outdoor hot tub and sauna areas are so cool. Food was excellent.

Cons:

Bedroom was a little tight for 3 people. It was very warm as it was a "heat wave". The fan helped.

酒店整体设计感十足，自带三个热水泡池，非正宗温泉水，但是环岛路上有个热水泡池也是能让人很好的缓解疲惫感的。房间大小合适，早餐很不错，有个草莓奶昔很好喝，让人怀念

The views are absolutely stunning, which makes this review even more disappointing to write.

We stayed here as a group of eight and one of our rooms had a broken air conditioning system. The room was noticeably hotter than the connecting room next door. Honestly, the faulty air conditioning was not the biggest issue. Things break. What really disappointed us was the way the situation was handled.

After reporting the problem, we were told it would be fixed within an hour. It wasn’t. We were told again the next morning that it would be working by the time we returned. It wasn’t. More than 24 hours later, we were still dealing with the same problem.

What surprised us most was some of the responses we received from staff. One staff member acknowledged that the room was hotter, but then told us he personally found the temperature acceptable and suggested we open a window. Another told us that people in Iceland do not really use air conditioning and that housekeeping staff sweat while they work, so a warm room was normal.

But that completely missed the point. We were not asking for luxury treatment or special compensation. We were simply asking for a room with working facilities. When you are paying premium prices, that feels like a pretty basic expectation.

What left a bad impression was not the broken air conditioning. It was feeling like our concerns were being explained away rather than taken seriously. As guests, we should not have to keep chasing the same issue for more than a day or argue just to have it escalated to a manager.

This hotel has an incredible location and amazing views. However, a beautiful view can only take you so far. Good service is about listening to guests, taking ownership of problems, and trying to resolve them. Unfortunately, that was the part of our stay that fell well short of expectations.
