Pros:

The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathroom was big. The staff was very friendly and the hotel itself is super close to every major touristy and useful place in Riga.

Cons:

Unfortunately, my bed had some stains on the sheet hidden by the pillows. I also struggled to fall asleep due to a constant, all-night-long metallic sounding banging sound. I don't know where it came from.

Pros:

So we normally call hotels etc 'the hospitality sector'. We had our booking from Booking.com with us but unfortunately we don't have access to email when away from home. Our train was delayed and we arrived after 5pm. You need pincodes to get in and to access your room. There is a number to ring, which we did. The person on the other end was extremely hostile - she insisted we just look at the latest email. It took 45 minutes on a very poor line, with a very hostile person, to get the requisite numbers and it cost us 35 euros. Why? What difficulty is there in giving customers, who have already paid the full amount, two numbers. And why make them pay £30? This wasn't the hospitality sector but the hostility sector. Once in, the room was OK, and Maria, on reception the two days we were there, was pleasant. But the initial experience was very unpleasant.
There is a bar opposite which plays thumping bass music until 3am. The pillow shakes on occasion! But the location is OK. Wouldn't use it again though.

Viaggio a Riga
Pros:

Abbiamo avuto un problema con la stanza della prima notte posta sopra un disco pub molto rumoroso, la ragazza della reception ci ha gentilmente cambiato la camera in una posizione tranquilla. Camere molto grandi e accoglienti.
