Pros:

Staff were friendly & very accommodating. The room was spacious & very comfortable. There was even a claw-foot bathtub to relax in! We had dinner in the bar and the menu had surprising variety compared to other pubs we have visited. Our entire experience there was amazing!

Lovely Night With Great Food!
Pros:

Beautiful room, absolutely immaculate with a very comfortable bed. It was very peaceful despite being in a central location and the staff were very customer friendly. Very large bathroom with a great shower.

Cons:

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Comfortable but let down by some staff

Room and bed very comfortable

Cons:

Strange breakfast system, normally you get cereal or yogurt then your cooked breakfast toast and jam with tea or coffee. At the Black Bull you pre order either a cooked or continental breakfast and they are all delivered at one time, toast is on the plate with the cooked breakfast and coffee but no jam. We had booked dinner on the second night and were left sitting in the dining room for 15 minutes before getting a menu and this morning had the same issue at breakfast, sitting for quarter of an hour before 2 cooked breakfasts were plonked in front of us, all over cooked and then granola at the same time!
Not sure what we were being charged for breakfast when they advertise free breakfast included in the booking?comm site for the same price we were charged for the room without breakfast?
Would have complained but the person that was the issue was the one we settled our bill with so wouldn’t have been taken on board.

I would gladly go back
Pros:

Beautiful freshly decorated room with the comfiest bed I can remember sleeping in (including my own!) and a sunny, spacious, obviously newly refurbished ensuite bathroom with shower and claw-foot bath.Freshly cooked, tasty breakfasts served with a smile. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful

The location was easy to find, plenty of parking near the hotel.
