Car park charges…… we really don’t have another option! Understand cruise customers may have different agenda but overnight stay in hotel should be exempt or at least discounted!
Evening dining was a farce and had it not been for Joanne (FOH), the situation could have been diabolical. Little or no good choices off the menu and the food we ended up with was practically inedible. Needless to say we gave breakfast a miss.
Location was perfect for our visit to Peppa Pig World. The car was great plenty of spaces and cameras. The refurbished pool area was lovely and exceptionally clean and modern. The location of our room was great - ground floor and very quiet. The staff on the front desk were really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great - lots of choice and all fresh. Service at breakfast was great.
We were very disappointed that the sofa bed was not made up for our daughter on arrival. However the front desk arranged it quickly for us. The bathroom in particular was tired and needed a good clean and refresh - mould around bath handles, toilet pan had brown staining and silicone around bathroom suite needs replacing. The service in the restaurant for evening meal was not great we ordered two water jugs and never received them, even though we asked twice.
The pool was good, as were the pool staff. The restaurant manager at breakfast was also very professional and friendly
Sarah, the receptionist was unfriendly, unhelpful and her conduct overshadowed the whole stay.
The room was not ready at 1830, when we arrived. It was not in fact ready until 20:00.
The front staircase was taped off, which the receptionist had not explained, nor had she explained where/ if there were alternative stairs (and therefore fire escapes). In addition, one of the two lifts only worked intermittently.
Sarah, the receptionist also wanted me to state the exact time we'd have breakfast. She said "well we are fully booked, so you have to specify"! Not the relaxed approach you expect from a weekend hotel stop. Sarah did not apologise once- not for failing to explain the stairs, not for the inconvenient lift and not for the major inconvenience of having wait for the room to be made up (and allow someone to come in whilst my daughters' and my luggage was then in the room). I had to chase up the room completion twice. Sarah's attitude about this was to treat me and my concerns an inconvenience.

The lack of customer care!
Excellent location for Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World. Great to have the swimming pool and kids zone to keep children entertained. Easy to book swimming and the restaurant. Very spacious hotel and nice room. Had all we needed for our 3 night stay. Lovely food and staff very helpful. Added bonus of cookie and milk voucher for children every night.
Nice park nearby too.
A couple more tea/drink options in the room. A bit more variety on the restaurant menu.

The hotel was lovely - clean, well looked after and newly decorated in much of the building. The room was comfortable and clean with everything needed including working AC. The breakfast was really good and all the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. My daughter was particularly delighted by the free milk and cookies she got for bedtime.
The only minor things I could mention are the leaky shower head and slower service for dinner but it was busy so this is being unnecessarily picky. We were more than happy.
Location close to main route. Very welcoming, friendly, efficient staff. Fascilities for children. Ample parking at £7.50 pn.
Good sized rooms. Very good selection of food for dinner and breakfast. Good sized swimming pool for which you have to book a slot on arrival - good because this prevents overcrowding.
Will recommend and return.
