Avevo soggiornato al Tropicana due anni fa e mi ero trovata benissimo, per questo avevo scelto lo stesso grattacielo per un nuovo soggiorno ma stavolta con un altro fornitore. La comunicazione prima del nostro arrivo tramite numero fornito su Booking è stata quasi inesistente, hanno risposto alle mie domande solo un’ora prima del mio arrivo. Il check in viene fatto al piano 25 ma poi nessuno accompagna all’interno dell’appartamento per mostrare le cose indispensabili. Primo appartamento gradevole ma con leggero odore di muffa all’ingresso e guasto all’impianto elettrico che non permetteva di avere acqua calda. Ci hanno Proposto di fare la doccia in un altro appartamento allo stesso piano ma abbiamo rifiutato per ovvie ragioni (pago una camera e, pur essendocene una libera allo stesso piano, toccava fare come al campeggio che dovevo portarmi le cose per il corridoio…)
Sistemazione alternativa all’una di notte dopo lunga discussione in un altro appartamento risultato poi scandaloso. All’ingresso erano presenti delle infradito e delle ciabatte lasciate da qualcuno, all’interno degli armadi c’erano scatole di scarpe vuote e shopper abbandonate. Gli spazi erano infestati da scarafaggi (in cucina e nella doccia). Il pavimento del bagno era scrostato, macchie di perdite sui muri. La porta del bagno non scorreva correttamente ed era molto dura, all’interno poi vi era un fortissimo odore di fogna. Climatizzazione inutilizzabile. Check out complicato: si svolge tra due piani e a quell’ora gli ascensori sono sempre affollati e ci si impiega almeno 45’; un incubo. Una vergogna. Sconsigliatissimo.

Avoid this property at all cost.
Pros:

The property is next to Petronas Twin Towers. That’s the only thing that is good about the property.

Cons:

The property very poor and cockroach infested apart from this, the property had bedbugs. We were given to understand that the entire building is in infested with cockroaches. The other issues of the property was that there was significant black mould actively growing on the bathroom ceiling. The shower door was defective, causing water to flow directly out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. The wardrobe doors were broken and off their tracks.

To sum up this property should be avoided at any cost.

Book it for the views! Overall well worth the price.
Pros:

Brilliant location with amazing views of the towers - which is the reason most people are booking these suites - so in that sense they are absolutely perfect! Well equipped apartment with everything you need. We had an issue with the aircon on the first night but it was fixed within a few hours, so I was happy with the service on that.

Cons:

Cleanliness wasn't great, but that seems to be the standard of most places we've stayed at so far on our Malaysia trip (even the 5 star hotels). We had contacted the host in advance about our early flight arrival and to arrange bag drop/storage, however on the morning we arrived we were left a little concerned when we couldn't reach anyone. Luckily someone called us back just as our taxi pulled up to the accommodation building (2.5 hours after we first reached out) so all was okay -.it just added a bit of stress after a long journey.

Es un departamento espectacular, con una vista preciosa a las Torres Petronas.Huele delicioso, todo impecable. El personal muy atento y colaborativo. La vista desde la alberca es un sueño. El departamento tiene todas las comodidades en perfecto estado.La cama comodísima, la regadera muy relajante, la iluminación, etc, todo me encantó.
He estado en excelentes hoteles y Airbnbs en mis viajes por el mundo pero Tropicana The Residences me sorprendió gratamente, me pareció fantástico y se convirtió en uno de mis preferidos. Lo recomiendo muchísimo.
