Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please take note that renovations are still ongoing at some places in hotel area for improvement purposes.
Please note that the guest doing the check-in must be at least 18 years old. Guests are required to settle the full amount of their stay, 7 days before their arrival at the hotel to secure the booking.

Pros:

Sufficient beds for my family needs. All of us can be in one room. Mattresses are on the floor so not worried that my young children will fall off the bed. I combined 2 queen mattresses to get a super huge bed.
There is a small indoor playground and cartoon for the children at the lobby. The kids love it.
No mozzies and it was actually quite cold at night even though there is no aircon. We had to turn down the fan.

Cons:

Slightly far from the main mall area.

Everything would be good if not for the window with view of a wall.
Pros:

Linkages between various hotels and lots F&B choices

Cons:

Given a room with window facing a wall just probably less than 3 meters away, not much sunlight and swallows flying around. Cannot open the window to ventilate the room due to birds flying around

Nice and clean but not suitable for elderly people
Pros:

Room was clean

Cons:

Very very far away from the casino and indoor theme park. I had my elderly parents with me and it was a struggle to walk the distance. But the shuttle service was very helpful. Would hv preferred proper beds instead of tatami style on a platform. Again, not convenient for elderly folks.

Very disappointing stay, particularly for our group with two guests requiring special assistance and at least four elderly members.

The biggest issue was the hotel’s lack of flexibility and empathy. Our large coach was not allowed to drop off or pick up directly at the hotel lobby. Despite appealing for a special arrangement and explaining our group’s mobility needs, our request was turned down coldly. We were forced to walk and pull luggage between the coach and hotel, which was extremely difficult for our elderly and mobility-challenged members.

We were also assigned rooms in the Valley Wing, which involved even more walking, changing floors and waiting for lifts. Worse, the front desk did not bother to properly explain the complicated route to our rooms. We ended up dragging our luggage to and fro, trying to figure out which floor and direction to take. A simple explanation or proper guidance would have saved us considerable time and effort.

The rooms had several issues:

* Bathroom has only a curtain instead of a proper door, with very little counter space.
* Lighting is either uncomfortably bright or too dark.
* Platform beds are not elderly-friendly.
* Overall hotel layout requires far too much walking for elderly or mobility-challenged guests.

While the hotel may be fine for younger, mobile travellers, I would not recommend SkyWorld Hotel for elderly guests, families with mobility issues, or large groups requiring assistance.

The most disappointing part was not just the inconvenient design, but the lack of consideration and basic assistance from the hotel when we clearly explained our group’s needs.
