A great place in every aspect except for to above problem with lack of shade around the pool area
Pros:

We couldn’t fault mostly anything about Bali Beach Hotel

Cons:

The problem, and it is a big one, is that most pool lounges are in the full sun for most of the day and those that are not have to be manually moved at least 5 to 10 times to avoid direct contact with the sun. The pool boys are more than happy to move the chairs but if it has to be moved many times a day it is very tedious and the lounges are back breakingly heavy doing it yourself. We would come here every year in a heartbeat if this was rectified but left as it is we wouldn’t come back or recommend to friends. Most guests are over 60 and their skin can’t take the Bali sun for long.

Definitely an enjoyable stay , would recommend to anyone and would stay again.
Pros:

The overall architecture of the hotel is impressive from its entrance steps down to a long walkway that reflects sunlight onto the walls during daylight emerging into the bright breezy foyer that leads up to polished white granite floors in the lift area. All surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens. The restaurants had a good selection of food types for breakfast lunch and dinner. Probably the most impressive thing about the hotel is the staff who are always smiling and happy to say hello or greet you.

Cons:

I feel the only drawback for me was the tap water that couldn’t be trusted and different aroma the water gave to tea and juice

Very nice with a small exception
Pros:

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here. The hotel is located at the beach in Sanur, in walking distance to the Icon Mall and the harbour. The building itself might not win a beauty price from the outside, but inside it is very beautiful and stylishly decorated. The room was pretty and spacious. The absolute highlight beside the huge pool was the crazy breakfast buffet, one of the best I‘ve ever experienced. The service was - maybe as typically in Bali - super friendly and helpful in general.

Cons:

The only two negative things have to be mentioned though as well: My eyeglasses got badly damaged, which we realized after coming back from the pool. Because of the circumstances, it was clear that it must somehow have happened by some cleaning liquids of the service staff. This was also the only explanation of the optician, which we have visited after (both lenses had to be replaced). Despite all of that the hotel management neither took responsibility and paid for the damage nor supported us in any way with getting new glasses in time. Not a service you expect from a 5 star hotel in Bali. The second thing we weren‘t too happy about was that we asked for some help with the damaged luggage wheel of my wife. A member of the staff took it apart, examined the wheel and said he would try to fix it. Some hours later the luggage had been perfectly reassembled in our room, leaving us thinking it must have been repaired. Sadly we realized only after traveling on that it wasn’t fixed and they didn‘t inform us. So we lost the chance to get it repaired in another place in Bali.

Had an amazing time, would love to be able to come back.
Pros:

Location is amazing - never had a reason to continue front of the hotel because everything you need can be accessed from the back (restaurants, the beach, walks, etc).

Grand retro hotel
Pros:

I loved this very grand hotel. The decor is quite retro as it was built in the 60's. We had a very comfortable room and the staff are very attentive.

Cons:

The crockery at breakfast was not always clean. My husband was given a cup with lipstick marks on it. Also some hooks to hang clothing in the bathroom would have been useful.

Beautiful Hotel with great views, staff and pool
Pros:

Amazing property, staff went above and beyond to help, rooms clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the ocean, lovely breakfast, the pool was amazing.

Cons:

It’s at the northern end of the strip so a little further to walk to get to the Main Street, still close enough though for a stroll to some amazing little restaurants and Bali Icon. (15 min) Was nice to have bikes at the Hotel but after your complementary hour free was charging $10 AUD an hour,, get your bike outside Hotel for much cheaper.

Beautiful hotel, central to great shopping, coffee and food. The breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and the staff were always smiling and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Bali Beach hotel 😊

Ok stay, first stay was much better. Will look else where for next stay in Bali. View and pool are amazing.
Pros:

Location and view, balcony looking at the sea. Great pool

Cons:

Only 2 functioning lifts for the entire stay( and same issue 2 months ago) makes it a very slow trip up and down. I ended up climbing 7 flights of stairs most times to avoid the wait. We asked for cleaning on one day and were out most of the day and it did not happen. Our keys stopped working three times, then had to go down in lift(slowly) get new keys, go back up, didn’t work, 45 minutes later finally rectified. Staff tried very hard to help but it was still a significant inconvenience.
