Pros:

The reception and waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is a lovely old building.

Cons:

There were delays receiving our meals at both dinner and breakfast. The WiFi was very poor in our room and the management response was rather curt,

Not the luxury stay it could have been but attentive staff
Pros:

Breakfast was great and the staff were lovely, views were great from the room as well

Cons:

the property is tired and in need of some cosmetic work. The upholstered settees and chairs in the entrance on arrival were very stained, the finial on the stairs was wobbly, carpets threadbare on stairs and in the bedroom, paintwork very marked and scuffed and the room, whilst the decor was once lovely has not stood up to the test of time. Side tables had chunks of paint from them hidden by coasters, wall behind the curtain had got damp and down to bare plaster with damp blisters, lightbulbs not all working in a multi lamp light and the dust on the shades was very thick, toilet roll holder wobbly and at an angle so the toilet roll fell off and one of the big bath towels on a ladder display had holes in it. What was once shabby chic is now shabby in some places, particularly our room, topped off by the hob breaking down at breakfast and it’s such a shame as the team are lovely.

Pros:

The House is in such a beautiful location. Though it's not far out of the city, it's a lovely spot, beautiful views & gardens & very relaxing!

The House itself is lovely too, furniture and fittings in keeping with a country house, and it's nice & clean.

We stayed 1 night for bed and breakfast, the breakfast was included in our price. We had a full English breakfast and it was delicious!

We didn't get the owner's name but she was just lovely....so welcoming.

Cons:

Nothing, we enjoyed our stay.

It was the most perfect night away. I will be returning for sure.
Pros:

The lovely staff really made me feel welcome. The room was spectacular and the breakfast was perfect. I had the most amazing stay.

Cons:

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like but if I had to write something down it would probably be that the restaurant wasn’t open for evening meals on the night I stayed but I didn’t realise it was closed on Tuesdays.
