Lovely staff ... hotel could be better

The staff were absolutely incredible ... couldn't have been more friendly and made us feel welcome at all times. The hotel itself is in a fab location for walking to the beach & into Seminyak. Room service always fab. Massages were top class.

Cons:

Unfortunately I have a few issues; we found animal (hopefully) waste in the pool day 1 which I believe was simply scooped out and the pool water not treated etc. our 8 year old daughter became ill the next day after playing in the water before we found said waste. The bathroom situation is so weird with the shower being outside and the bathroom having no way to keep insects out; the mozzies were a constant issue. The restaurant and bar setup was odd; we ate first day at the hotel then didn't bother. We had a bad leak in the bathroom at 1.30am; we were moved to another room but it was 2pm until we got back into our room with our clothes etc. We booked as a base for 22 nights but left after 10 days.

It was ok, but this hotel is in big need for an upgrade and deep clean.
Pros:

It was my second time staying at this hotel, and since the first time was quite good, I booked again. What I liked:
- Large, warm pool with sun beds in both: the sun and shade
- Location: close to everything but away from the business
- Staff is very friendly

Cons:

The bathroom in the room was very bad:
- dirty, hairs on the floor up on check in, dirty toilet
- the shower has to be replaced. Firstly the shower head doesn't stay in place, it is broken, rusty. Secondly, the water pressure is so poor, it is difficult to wash your hair.
- insects. Once I had a shower and hung the towel, a couple of hours later it was full of tiny insects. There were also everywhere on the sink.
Dirty aircon full of mould.

The rooms must be deeply cleaned and a lot of things need to be upgraded.

The food in the restaurant is not great.

Upon checkout (it happened the first time as well), I had to wait for staff go check my room in order to leave. This is just ridiculous- I'm not sure why they do this, whether to see if anything was stolen or something? Well, this is not what you expect at a "4 star" hotel. It is super annoying because usually people already have a cab waiting for them and the staff takes their sweet time with this check, so you just have to sit there in heat and wait until they let you go.

Pros:

Good area in seminyak and very calm environment. Just take a bike and you can go to anywhere within 30 mins, like canggu and beaches. Good for booking this hotel to wrap up your Bali Trip for chill and enjoy their onsite spa and swimming pool.

Good cleanliness overall. Able to sleep well

Pros:

The only thing to mention was the cleanliness of the towels. Pretty much every towel had old stains on or was ripped. I asked for fresh towels and was told theyre gonna give me the clean ones. Really they should just all be clean.

Great location, amazing staff, good breakfast and nice room. Felt really at home

Pros:

Overall, I think this hotel is a very good choice. The bed was really comfortable! I thought about sneaking one of their pillows! The staff did a great job with keeping the room neat and tidy each day. Breakfast was decent. Good value place to stay, very comfortable bed, clean, safe, friendly. Recommendable.

Nothing to really "not like".

Fab!! Personally, we missed not having a balcony to sit and chill. Maybe picked wrong room when booking but didn’t seem

Everything… great pool area, gym, pool towels, friendly and very helpful staff, good size room, excellent room service, spa and you get discount. We didn’t have breakfast so unable to comment but looked good.

Cons:

Not told about building work/site right next door. So very noisy when relaxing at pool.
Feedback… gym needs a fan at running machine, air con not cold enough and nowhere near high intensity machines. Also, sweat towels would be good although we did use pool towels.
