INCROYABLE !
Pros:

Pros:

I stayed at Oasis Blu, and honestly, it was the best stay of my life.
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon, and everything was simply perfect. I had a few issues with my flight, which meant I had to change my reservation. One of the staff members helped me through the entire process on WhatsApp at 10 p.m. just to make sure everything was perfect.
We arrived very late, after the kitchen had already closed, but the chef kindly prepared sandwiches for us because he knew we would be starving. That small gesture meant so much to us.
I am a very demanding person who appreciates luxury and high standards, and they exceeded every single one of my expectations and fulfilled every request I had. I have rarely met such kind, caring, and genuine people.
The Maasai guards who protect the hotel are absolutely wonderful. They are so kind and warm-hearted. We spent several evenings on the beach with them, and my husband shared stories with them. Those moments will stay with us forever.
The hotel itself is stunning. It is incredibly peaceful, giving you the feeling of being completely secluded. Their beach is the most beautiful one I visited in Zanzibar, and having a private sandbank made the experience even more magical.
The chef is exceptionally talented. From breakfast to dinner, every meal was absolutely delicious.
I’ll say it again: I am very picky and was looking for perfection—and I found it here. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the rooms are spotless, and the service is flawless.
A special thank you to Gaby, who took care of us throughout our stay and organized all of our activities perfectly. He even arranged for our luggage to be transferred from the north to the south of the island while we were away on safari, making everything completely stress-free.
Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon unforgettable. We truly hope to come back and see you all again very soon.

The hotel has a good potential but it needs to become more customer-oriented and make some improvements
Pros:

Stunning views, a beautiful beach with a sandbar exposed at low tide, and crystal-clear ocean water. A comfortable and spacious room equipped with Netflix, an excellent air conditioner, and a private pool. The menu features delicious Indian cuisine, and the breakfasts are very good. Cute kitty in the restaurant.

Cons:

Apart from the Indian dishes and the Bolognese pasta, everything else we tried was below average in quality. For example, the club sandwich barely contained any chicken. What little there was seemed to be finely shredded to the point of being almost invisible, and the quantity was negligible. The rest was mostly bread, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Calling it a chicken club sandwich is quite an exaggeration, please remove it from the menu or change its it SHOULD NOT cost 16$!!! The french fries were cold and not crispy. We also tried the beef burger. The patty was bland, lacked seasoning, and simply wasn’t enjoyable. We ended up feeding it to the friendly cat that lives at the hotel. After that, we decided not to experiment with other menu items.

The restaurant staff, both the women and the men, were exceptionally cute and pleasant! However, the service was very slow. On some days, we waited so long for our food or the bill that we had to remind the staff several times. Also, we chose this hotel as part of our honeymoon, splitting our trip between Oasis Blu and another hotel that we have been returning to for the second year. Despite informing the hotel that we were honeymooners, there was no special recognition whatsoever. We were promised a cake, but even that was forgotten. Usually hotels often acknowledge special occasions with at least a small gesture such as a complimentary bottle of wine and sometimes even a room upgrade or discount. In fact our other favorite hotel provided both without us ever asking or reminding them. The only request we made during our stay was a late check-out after our morning flight was canceled and rebooked for late at night. The hotel wasn’t full so we hoped some flexibility might be possible. But it wasn’t.

Everything was nice — except the food.
Pros:

The hotel is a small, 17-room resort that caters to people who want a quiet getaway with beautiful surroundings. Beautiful views with an exclusive feel seem to be the main reasons people choose this location.
Like everywhere along the East coast of Zanzibar, the tidal influence is strong and beaches are temporary, only really appearing during low tide. This location is no exception. When tide comes in the beach vanishes and sea comes up to the cliff face. But here when the tide goes out, an amazing, long, white sand bar that reaches back to the coralline shore appears, allowing for hours of exploration of the shallows and sunbathing.
The central area of the resort is the pool, terrace, and restaurant/bar. Situated on a limestone ledge above the water, the resort hugs the coast. The pool overlooks the ocean below the terrace where the restaurant/bar is located. There is also a spa (which we did not use) and fitness center just up the road towards the reception area. The fitness center has limited equipment but is sufficient for a light workout. Throughout the property, security staff are dressed in traditional Maasai clothing. A nice touch to try to connect the visitors to the African culture. The staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The resort caters to people who want sunbathing and low key relaxation. Not very exciting and few on-site options for entertainment other than eating and relaxing. No nearby restaurants or shops that you can reach by foot. Taxis get expensive on this part of the island, so getting around can be a struggle.
While the most of the features of this boutique resort earn a passing grade, there is one feature that failed. Restaurant was very disappointing. In fact, it was probably one of, if not the worst culinary experiences at any resort that I have been to. A few examples: We ordered grilled beef medium. When it was served it was pan-fried, well-done, dry and tough. When we ordered fattoush salad on 2 consecutive days, we got something completely different. Flies everywhere on the restaurant patio. They need a bug zapper and/or fly paper. I was constantly defending our plates from the onslaught. I had to throw away 1/3 of my beer when two flies drowned in my glass. I can go on, but suffice to say the breakfast buffet was the best thing the restaurant served. As for the bar, it was okay. Cocktails are 10-15 USD, local beer 4 USD.
Internet is sometimes spotty, electricity drops occasionally but not for long periods of time. That’s why they have a small, rechargeable lantern in each room.
Each room has its own small “danish dip” pool. But the steps into the pool are narrow and the tiles are slippery, making it dangerously easy to slip and hurt oneself. I used it only once in my 3 nights to soothe an awful sunburn.
Rooms are a little “tired” and need some maintenance. The small gaps between and around the exterior doors meant that mosquitoes or small lizards had a clear path into the room. And they did take advantage of the gaps. These are minor maintenance issues and repairs that can easily be done, but often times don’t get done because management doesn’t think it’s important.
