Damp damp and damp
Pros:

The owner was friendly, offered us things from the fridge. The bedroom and bathroom were relatively clean, if you don’t consider the mould.

Cons:

If there was any chance of finding another place to rent in Torres after we arrived at the property, we would have not stayed here. The property smelt strongly of cigarette smoke and damp. There was mould on the ceiling of our bedroom and every morning my hair was moist from the damp in the room. We kept the window open as much as possible, but it was too cold to do this during the night. The bathroom door was broken, which was annoying as we shared with the room next to us. To close the bathroom door, we had to push really hard and it made a loud bang. The bathroom had no ventilator and so the toilet paper wasn’t dry, even though we left the door open when bathroom wasn’t in use. The owner did ask us if everything was okay, but even if we had explained what was unacceptable, these fundamental problems probably couldn’t be cured in a few days. It was not worth the £64 we paid per night for this experience. No matter how friendly the owner of the property is, this was disappointing.
