We had a great stay, clean comfortable rooms in a great location, though overpriced.
Pros:

The rooms were comfortable and the staff very helpful. The location is fabulous, close to many attractions.

Cons:

There are family living in the hotel which is fine, however, clothes were drying in the courtyard at all times which detracted from the ambiance of the hotel. Also, i found the cost to be quite high for the accommodation provided.

The hotel manager was so helpful in helping my translate things and helping with my requests. He really helped to make my say more convenient

Cons:

I would prefer if they provided breakfast at the hotel but it was clear fro the listing that this wasn’t the case

Cute and great location but very basic hotel
Pros:

The hotel is cute and the location is great in the small winding alleys of a nice living hutong. The staff were nice.

Cons:

This is a very basic hotel, one step up from hostel. It is cute but very basic standard. The door to my room had a one centimeter gap so all noises from the nearby rooms and courtyard are loud. Also most sounds from the residents in the street starts early, but that can be charming too. The curtains does not keep light out, the internet connection is bad (maybe it is more to do with internet access…), there is no fridge in the room and no breakfast is served. Just be aware that it this is not your standard hotel.

We arrived in China poorly prepared and received enormous help from our boat, who went out of his way to turn a potential disaster into a memorable few days. He was kind and tireless in helping us with our provlems

Overall, the Rong Hotel was an excellent choice for my solo trip to Beijing in March 2026.
Pros:

The Rong Hotel is perfectly located for visitors who want to explore central Beijing. Located on a residential street, it is near many restaurants, shops, and historic sites. I enjoyed many daytime and evening strolls in the neighborhood.

Cons:

I would have appreciated more communication from the hotel proprietor about check in procedures. On arrival, I had to wait a while for somebody to answer the door. However, once the proprietor appeared, everything went smoothly.
