Balong Balong Surf Bungalows & Restaurant

First of all, the staff were very kind and helpful. But it was just in the most amazing location, we found it’s the best end of the beach for swimming.
The food included and what the restaurant has too is by far the best in sekongkang we found. We wish we could’ve tried the whole menu. We found lots of people staying in the area came here for food too.

The most amazing location, EVER. Wake up to the most gorgeous scenes of the beach, right on your doorstep. We would go for a beach walk and swim every morning. Close to yo-yos, restaurants, and a great cafe down the road called pico friends. The in house restaurant was incredible, so many options and quality food. Could not recommend this place enough! Beautiful staff aswell

Sehr schön gelegen direkt am Meer. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben häufig auch das Restaurant genutzt, von dem aus man direkt auf das Meer schaut. Alternativ kann man sich das Essen auf das Zimmer liefern lassen, was sehr entspannt war.
In den Bungalows Richtung Meer hat uns das Geräusch der Straße nicht gestört. Wir haben 2x verlängert und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Danke euch :)

The place was great, right on the beach, close to everything! I even had a "special request" for my partner birthday and they helped me! Staff was great and helpful, food was good, view and location were amazing! Totally recommend it and might come back in the future!

Everything was fantastic ! Food menu is broad and everything is delicious. The staff is very kind and thoughtful and man the vue doesn’t get any better

Front beach, very good food, comfortable rooms

I stayed for one week in this little piece of paradise, and it did not disappoint!

The property is situated on the beach, looking out to numerous surf breaks, which meant I could check the morning surf while enjoying a gorgeous smoothie bowl. It was easy to rent a bike and explore the neighbouring surf spots and towns — just be aware of the many 4x4 mining trucks that cruise around the area.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. I loved that the room had a mini fridge and complimentary water too :)

For food, you have plenty of options, either within walking distance along the beach or just a two-minute bike ride away. I ate at the accommodation every other day and enjoyed the breakfast options, smoothies, and mie goreng. Other highlights included a very cool coffee shop (I can’t remember the name) two minutes up the road and Lisa’s Garden.

Finally, I thought the staff were very helpful, positive and all spoke good English. The area and accommodation also seemed to attract a nice mix of people, from surfers to young families, who were all very friendly and up for a chat while watching the sunset.

It’s a wonderfully peaceful place, so if you want to escape the crowds and truly unwind, I would highly recommend it.
