This was supposed to be a relaxing break for my wife in between her chemotherapy sessions!
Pros:

Staff were friendly.

Cons:

Housekeeping very poor - for £185 per night bed was not made at all during our 4 night visit, nor were the waste bins emptied. We had to go to reception to ask for toilet rolls. First day of breakfast was a disaster as bacon, sausage and black pudding was so hard it was inedible. We stuck with scrambled egg for the rest of our stay because of this and had we not paid for four nights in advance would have eaten elsewhere. Twice asked for fried egg which did not materialise. Mattress on bed was like a ploughed field and we had to ask reception for assistance.

Lovely place in a great location. Poor breakfast.
Pros:

Lovely stay. Poor breakfast which we paid an additional charge for. Selection of cereals and juices as well as toast. However the hot food was in Bain Marie’s covered over with foil for us to help ourselves but these were cold. I had to ask the kitchen to poach me an egg. Very disappointing. Lovely place to stay and very clean. We would stay again but definitely would not order breakfast.

Cons:

Lovely outdoor space in the gardens

Beautiful setting and chilled laid back vibe
Pros:

Beautiful period property in a lovely peaceful village location but in easy reach of all Scarborough’s attractions.
Tge hotel is set in a beautiful garden and has tge feel of an old English country manor. The decor is in keeping with the period and of the property which is really clean and tidy.

Cons:

Slight hum from a boiler or electrical instalment disturbed my partners sleep ( but not mine )

Nice little hotel.
Pros:

Lovely location, welcoming staff

Cons:

I ordered scampi and chips and it came with salt and vinegar on, which I don't like. I wasn't asked, and it ruined the meal for me.
