I know there was a heatwave but the fan in the tiny room did nothing to assist in cooling the room or airflow. It was unbearable
Check in was not welcoming or helpful
Waited for an hour in the restaurant for a burger. Poor attitude from staff
The double bed was 2 singles pushed together
The pillows were the worst I have ever slept on
The towels could not have been any thinner
Breakfast was adequate but nothing to get excited about
The room was so tiny we couldn’t even open our case

No air conditioning

I was given a dorm style room. No ventilation. I had heat exhaustion very quickly. I could not think, was sick to my stomachache. No other rooms with oxygen. I did have a fan but room was reading 110 degrees with no air circulation when I entered. I opened the window day 2 and 3 . Bugs were coming in. I had to take a cold shower hourly ×7 my last night and with windows open there is the sounds of laughter and talking. Maybe a few yodeling going on which was actually the highlight of the trip. The River Rhine was a savior.

Chaleur dans la chambre du à la canicule

Zimmer roch säuerlich nach Schweiss, hatte beim Eintreten 28°C (3. Stock) mit Fenster nach "hinten" zur Rheingasse (gegenüber Rheinseite), damit direkt über Kneipen und Restaurants, wo bis um 3.30 Uhr alkoholisierte Leute rumkrakelen. Zwangsweise musste aber das Fenster aufbleiben, um einigermassen Luft zu bekommen.
Als dann irgendwann Ruhe war, wurde draussen die Beleuchtung auf 100% gestellt und die Deko-Pflanzen gegossen.
Das in dieser Preisklasse keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer ist musste ich mit Erstaunen zu Kenntnis nehmen. Rezeption bereits um 17 Uhr nicht mehr besetzt, Empfang via Restaurant-Personal, die auf Reklamation nur auf den "morgen" wieder anwesenden Chef verweisen konnte. Fazit: Bei diesen Temperaturen nicht mehr ohne Klima, und einige unglückliche Umstände auf einmal.

No kettle . No air conditioning.

Per aver speso 210.- chf per una notte in due, l'hotel non ha risposto alle aspettative: innanzitutto non c'è aria condizionata e in estate con 35 gradi non è una buona notizia. In ogni caso, la camera era esposta sul lato nord quindi quando abbiamo visto un ventilatore abbiamo pensato che con quello e la finestra aperta, di notte si sarebbe stati bene. Peccato però che il locale sotto alla finestra abbia suonato musica fino a notte inoltrata, impossibile dormire con la finestra aperta. Alle tre, degli ubriachi litigavano sotto la finestra gridando come matti... quindi, o si mette l'aria condizionata, o si propone tariffe adeguate per una situazione non troppo confortevole. I piumini li abbiamo tolti noi dalle lenzuola perché con una temperatura del genere erano quasi una barzelletta.
In secondo luogo, la nostra doccia inizialmente erogava solo acqua bollente: un signore è salito per sistemare (ah, non abbiamo trovato neppure i telefoni per chiamare in reception.. bisogna scendere a piedi) e dopo un po' di insistenza feroce con la manopola è riuscito a far uscire acqua tiepida ma ci ha detto di non toccare piu' la temperatura ma solo di accendere e spegnere. Risultato: la doccia è stata tiepida i primi due minuti di doccia e poi improvvisamente ghiacciata, con il regolatore impossibile da muovere e quindi ci siamo tonificati non poco...
Infine, abbiamo prenotato con largo anticipo il ristorante e sotto a un sole cocente ci hanno dato un tavolo caldissimo con il sole che ci ha fatti sudare per tutto il tempo. Di fianco avevamo un tavolo perfettamente in ombra, vuoto, che ho visto proporre ai passanti: non so, peccato. La cena in ogni caso è arrivata velocemente ed era buona.
