We were booked for one night at the Lake Inn, travelling from Devon to Liverpool we received a call from Ross of the Lake Inn to inform us of a problem with the toilet in our proposed room, unfortunately there was no other room as the hotel was fully booked. Ross was extremely apologetic and said he would arrange for a room at a nearby hotel.
He rung back an hour or so later to inform us that he had booked us a room at the nearby hotel and with the bonus of breakfast which we had not booked at the Lake Inn for no extra cost. Ross was extremely professional and apologetic. We were very happy with the alternative accomodation and can only praise Ross for looking after us with the alternative room. Great service.
Location. Reasonable value. Large room.
Basic. A bit hostel ish. Room warm, although a fan in it, but bed big quilt and no mattress protector that for a bed people sweating in with limited airflow.
Location and contemporary vibe
Room configuration was very odd (suspect designer has never stayed in rooms)
An example of this being quite a large shower room but nowhere to even hang a towel.
Meanwhile toilet had heated towel radiator
Small details like this make all the difference without any real extra cost to the property
Big rooms and bed. Everything clean and fresh. Staff were all exceptional. Food was great too.
Great location and lovely room
There was a storage area between our window and the view of the lake, not a problem if it had been tidy, but it wasnt and had some litter
The perfect spot right by the beach and was lovely to watch the sunset
First room we got put into wasn’t ready so was moved rooms. We struggled to flush the toilet but eventually it stopped working all together. The staff did get informed when we checked out
I love the location and the staff are friendly
The room was too big for just the two of us, we wasn't told there was a wedding party staying they were noisy all night shouting opening and closing their windows then we were woken upto music they had on as loud as they could have it.
They were up and down the corridor all morning from early shouting and slamming doors. We cancelled breakfast and checked out, i always come the lakhouse but I wouldn't stay again.
Everything was amazing,it's the third year we have been, it was our anniversary whilst we stayed and the staff made it really special, especially Callum and Lily who went above and beyond, food was superb and an excellent location short walk to beach and easy access into Liverpool via local train service.

Restaurant slightly noisy
Absolutely lovely location. Staff and food were great.
The public areas and outside the hotel looked a little tired. Our room was extremely hot and only one of the windows opened. A fan was provided but this was very noisy and ineffective.There was a large smear of bird poo on the outside of the window.
Staff were brilliant. Location is great for being so close to Liverpool, restaurant looks out on to lake with beautiful sand dunes. Really good food for dinner and breakfast.
Room will appointed, lots of space.
Public areas could do with painting, starting to look a bit tatty in places.
