Great city, reasonable hotel with a 20 minute walk into the town center
Pros:

No breakfast provided. There was a kitchen in which I could cook my own food.

Cons:

The hotel check-in procedure could have been explained at time of booking. Also, the reception hallway area was obviously frequented by smokers, which is poor for a non-smoking hotel, and the smell of stale smoke was particularly noticeable on the Wednesday morning.

Clean and comfortable stay in a quiet location
Pros:

Clean, comfortable room in a quiet location, I even had a small balcony which was nice. Bathroom, linen & towels all very clean and bed was comfy. Parking was a bonus and there was a decent kitchen for guests' use.

Cons:

Fridge in room was noisy, had to turn it off. The main issue was that the hotel had laminate floors throughout, in rooms, corridors & stairs which made it very noisy when other guests were coming & going. Not much soundproofing between rooms either, could hear toilet and conversation in next room.

Great value, no nonsense, very satisfactory stay.
Pros:

Great value, very clean, facilities perfectly adequate. Perfect for a quick business trip.

Cons:

Front door wouldn’t open but side door was always open so not a problem. Fact that there are no staff there might put some people off but I quite liked it!

Pros:

Location for us was very good, parking on site, spacious en-suite bathroom, hot drink provision ( biscuits rather than sweets would have been nice).

Cons:

Improvements could be made with more powerful shower, explanation of how the basin tap works and a new mattress. Cobwebs on ceiling above bed. We didn’t see any staff to comment on.
