A great stay, loved it!
Pros:

I stay here quite regularly as I’m from the area and visit family & friends! Great location close to the Station for visiting Sheffield &. Chesterfield. Love the lively pub and garden & the breakfasts are amazing!

Cons:

The WiFi is abit rubbish when you’re in your room, sometimes my phone picked up the WiFi from the pub next door before it picked up the room WiFi.
And a really small thing but annoying when we were staying for 5 nights - there were only 2 coat hangers! I bought some from one of the local shops & left them in the wardrobe.

Lovely place to stay whilst visiting friends in the area
Pros:

Lovely clean room with nice bedding and towels. Bar and breakfast area had lovely decor and staff were very attentive. Good entertainment (guitarist and saxophone) outside on the Saturday afternoon and lovely BBQ.

Cons:

Room was very hot due to only one small top opening window. They did provide a fan but unfortunately we stayed on a very hot day so only warm area circulated.

A lovely hotel, great for short stays. Breakfast (included) is excellent.
Pros:

Breakfast was good with a wide range of choice and as much as we wanted. Plenty of tea and coffee on offer too - we thought this was excellent value as it was included in the price of the room. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, though a chair would have been useful. A fan was provided for the hot weather.

Cons:

The water pressure in the shower was very low - just a trickle.
With breakfast, I was not asked about nut allergies and there were no labels on the cereals. I had some Crunchy Nut cereals thinking they were cornflakes. Fortunately I had no reaction as I have a mild nut allergy.
When we arrived the car park entrance was blocked with a notice to say it was unavailable for 2 nights due to functions being held there. It would have been nice to have been informed about this beforehand. We were told to park in the overflow car park for the Civic Centre, but there were warning signs there about being clamped if staying for more than a few hours. The functions involved live music that would go on until 10pm, with more music being played until midnight. Fortunately our room was away from this, but again it would have been nice to have been informed about this. The music was indeed very loud but they did stick to the timings.

Pros:

Everything went well, I contacted them to say I was not able to check in until after midnight but this was not a problem. Exceptional 24 hours reception with very friendly and help full staff who carried my bags and showed me to my room. Lovely breakfast in very pleasant surroundings. I cannot recommend enough.

We had a great time as The Manor House was very convenient and breakfast excellent but bedrooms need renovating.
Pros:

Staff welcoming and helpful very close to our venue and breakfast all included was excellent.

Cons:

Although full of character the C17th Manor House bedrooms need refreshing and renovating. Our small double bedroom was very small, bed right up against wall, no bedside lights possible, and the shower had mould.

The location is lovely, The staff were courteous and polite, the room facilities are very poor.
Pros:

Location,

Cons:

The premises would benefit in my view by providing at lease bar food to its guests, The bedroom was in need of decoration bedside light singular didn't work, The only way to turn on the over bed light was at the door, the bathroom facility was disgraceful, the thermostatic shower control would not allow cold water (dangerous ) The black The mould around the shower tray was awful, the toilet seat was a loose, the toilet system faild to work properly, and the general cleanliness was extremely poor.

Lovely quaint hotel, friendly staff, good food.
Pros:

Lovely little room, comfy bed and lots of choice for hot drinks. As it was a very hot weekend I asked for a bottle of water and was given one straight away.
No air con but nice to have a fan in the room so it wasn’t too hot.
Breakfasts were really tasty and lots of choice.

Cons:

There were only steps to the rooms so not suitable if you can’t carry your own luggage up. I wouldn’t choose a separate private shower room again, an en-suite is much nicer.
The ceiling height may be a little low for anyone taller than me (5’4”); I think my husband would hit his head a lot!
