Best place to stay for the shark dive and a nice hike
Pros:

Good locally owned resort with good activities and fairly social. Diving was amazing.

people were amazing, food was delicious and lots of it, we loved it! accommodation is very basic but we knew this before booking. it was just what we were looking for... simple, not many people, natural beauty, a great place to unplug and relax, also extra activities you could pay for an a resonable price. would definitely recommend this place

The best Fiji experience you can buy
Pros:

Phenomenal. If you are visiting the Yasawa’s ditch the expensive resorts and come here. One of the most spectacular and welcoming places we have ever visited, amazing home cooked meals, incredible activities and snorkelling. The staff were all extremely attentive and the kindest people we have ever met. Although we only had 2 nights here we were incredibly sad to leave and if the opportunity arose we would have easily booked 4 nights. Thank you Tailo for being an incredible host and great company. We miss you guys already.

Otroligt fint boende. Hela byn bidrar och gör att besökare känner sig välkomna. Sång och musik till måltiderna, personalen bär hibiskusblommor bakom öronen, buffé till frukost, lunch och middag. Olika vegetariska rätter och kyckling eller fisk till lunch och middag. Uppskattade kokosbröd och pannkakor till frukost. Boendet ordnar inga utflykter på söndagar. Missa inte möjligheten att gå med till kyrkan och söndagkvällens kultursamtal med kava. Mina söner åkte ut på en mycket uppskattad fisketur. Fin promenad upp på berget.

I wish we knew ahead of time. Plan accordingly.
Pros:

The location and house reef are absolutely stunning. Tailo and Joshua were amazing, always striving to make sure everyone is happy and entertained. Loads of music and culture (Tailo’s cultural talks weekly are so informative, Joshua’s weaving classes were fun). The (buffet) food is exceptional and the staff work hard to ensure every dietary need is addressed.

Cons:

UPON BOOKING We should’ve been informed of these issues so we could plan accordingly. We booked several places in the Yasawas and this was the only one that did not give any advance notice besides “bring cash.” 1. NO Connectivity. WiFi is basically nonfunctional, and both vodaphone and digicel do not get service. 2. Very limited electricity on a sporadic, undefined timeline. “A couple hours in morning, a couple at night.” We had none for 2 days when generator was installed and not offered alternative until a guest pointed out that at times a charging station is available, hours undefined. 3. Cabins are run down (broken mirrors and tiles, shower often not enough pressure to work) with mold in ceilings and bathrooms, screens have caked dust. 4. No water provided outside meals and limited water during meals. Bring your own or pay. 5. Water issues in cabin meant ongoing muddy tap water that was cut off for 2 days with no notice as pipes were worked on. It would’ve been easy to tell us ahead of time and offer other arrangements instead of waiting until I’m walking around camp in a towel looking for a shower to wash off salt water. We did receive a discount at the end for it which was greatly appreciated. 6. No lock on door that always swings open, use your own. 7. No separate living room as specified in booking but did have large porch. 8. Sadly tourists participate in activities that involve feeding sharks here. Feeding marine life damages the ecosystem and changes marine animals typical behavior to ensure a healthy reef. Please don’t support it.

A piece of paradise run by super friendly people
Pros:

A rustic but fabulous stay on the southern end of the Yasawa island chain. Extremely friendly locals run this place which is in an idyllic location with a great house reef. Don’t expect hot water or luxuries , expect an authentic Fijian experience. Summit home, fishing for your supper and reef shark snorkel all recommended .

Pros:

Waya Lailai was better than expected ,the staff are the nicest people ever. The snorkeling out the front is stunning! The shark snorkeling was amazing and the village visit was the icing on the cake.

Cons:

That I didn’t stay longer. Hot showers after a long snorkel would have been nice but it was not terrible. I still would visit again.

Pros:

Este alojamiento fue una sorpresa para mí, lo mejor fue la gente que trabajar ahí. Me llevo un pedazito conmigo, los fiyianos son super amables pero estos me llegaron al corazón. Joshua, ken, mosi, josehp y más.
La comida también es sensacional y recomiendo mucho el hiking a la montaña, unas vistas increíbles:)

Pros:

The island is beautiful. The huts are right on the beach facing the water; a lot of reefs around and a beautiful hike up to the top of the island.

What makes the place special is the communal vibe: staff are friendly and the shared food/hang out hall encourages people to interact with each other. The no wifi also is a nice chance to disconnect.

We got caught there during a 3 day storm where we couldn't leave the island or do activities, but still had a great time walking around and getting to know people. lots of activities on offer

Cons:

The accomodation was quite run down, both the rooms and the bathrooms.
Activities were a bit overpriced compared to other islands.
