The River Island Sidemen

Where do I start? River Island was like walking on a dream! Every little detail about the ground/gardens/property/rooms was amazing. The craftmenship and details of the bungalows, the interior design - breathtaking balinese, from the hut itself to the carved bedroom, outdoor bathroom full of stunning greenery, the patio equipped with fridge, kettle, mozzie spray, sun lounge, table and chairs to the robes (which my kids loved and ran around with all day). We felt like Queens!
The breakfast area near the pool gave you a sense of zen thanks to the river flowing right next to it. The pool behind was a great size and offered great vistas to the river and some big lizards!
Breakfast was 11/10 and so much, we had to skip lunch. Banana pancake, dragonfruit granola bowl (my favourite), omelette, fruit platter, juice...you name it!
The property is a couple of steep hills out of Sidemen which won't bother you, as soon as you are here, you won't wanna go anywhere else!
There's a few cute restaurants within 5 mins walking distance and you are surrounded by rice terraces!
All staff were lovely and so helpful. Jero organised a massage for us and helped us with transport and always aimed to make River Island even better than it is! We felt very welcome and appreciated as guests which is lovely.

Hospitality

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft schön, ein kleines Paradies. Die Gastgeber sehr freundlich, sie geben sich sehr Mühe. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und wenn du da bist, bist du ein Teil der Familie. Es hat schöne kleine Restaurants die zu Fuss erreichbar sind. Jederzeit kannst du über die Gastgeber einen Fahrer organisieren, der dich für einen fairen Preis überall hinfährt. Wir empfehlen ein Reisfeld-Trekking mit einem Guide zu machen um von der Kultur der Menschen etwas zu erfahren. Ein Bad in den Quellen des Wasserfalls dazu buchen und ein unglaublichen Sonnenuntergang genießen. Sidemen ist ein unglaublich schöner Ort, der noch das Leben zeigt wie es früher vor 50 Jahren auch in Ubud war. Du kannst dich entspannen in einer wunderschönen Natur.

Les maisons sont très belles, il y a tout le confort, salle de bain à ciel ouvert, c’est fait avec goût.
Le site est énorme, je crois plusieurs hectares, mais l'essentiel est concentré au même endroit. La vue sur la rivière est chouette.
L'hôtel est éloigné mais cela se fait très bien en scooter. Vous pouvez tout réserver sur place.

Jero og hendes staff gør et fantastisk stykke arbejde med at holde stedet rent og flot og sikrer at vi har det godt. Dejlig morgenmad og god pool i flotte omgivelser.
Vi var uheldige at vandforsyningen drillede i vores lejlighed, men Jero ydede en fremragende service for, at give os færrest mulige gener.

A true little paradise in Sidemen! This place is a peaceful haven surrounded by nature. The property is beautiful and offers everything you need, from great food and drinks prices are slightly higher than at a local warung, but still worth it and to plenty of activities.

The location is perfect, the accommodation is stunning, and the outdoor bathroom adds a unique and charming touch.

A special thank you to the incredibly kind staff and the wonderful owner for making our stay so memorable. We felt genuinely welcomed from start to finish. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place!

L'endroit est magnifique, grand, très peu de chambres, la piscine avec vue sur la rivière, un havre de paix .
Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux.
Chambre spacieuse, salle de douche magnifique.

The property is like anything I have ever seen before. It is paradise l! And the bathroom is so lovely

The location is fabulous! You are away from town and drive through beautiful farm land, cross the river to discover yourself on a private island. We had a villa overlooking the river that had a lovely outdoor living area, outdoor bathtub that allowed you to watch & listen to the river, lounge chairs and private steps to the river. Breakfast was wonderful, staff were always very friendly and took care of everything. We look forward to returning!

L’accoglienza di Jero. Viaggiamo con due bambini ed è stato semplicemente perfetto, abbiamo preso due camere vicine e con il senso di sicurezza e tranquillata anche i ragazzi hanno dormito tranquilli senza pensieri. Ho apprezzato Il senso di pace e tranquillità del luogo (un po’ isolato ma grazie a Jero e a driver locali tutto diventa semplice), la pulizia (migliore trovata a Bali), il profumo di fiori delle lenzuola e asciugamani. Pura poesia e rispetto per l’ospite.

We had a very good time at The River Island. Our cabin was overlooking the river, it was so peaceful and relaxing.
Ibu Jero and her family are adorable and will make sure you have everything you need during your stay.

Tout était exceptionnel ! Tout est soigné, on sent le dévouement de toute l' équipe, tout est très bien pensé, il ne manque rien. La propriétaire a été d' une gentillesse extrême, nous avons eu des échanges sincères et profonds.elle a été pleine d' attentions.
Nous avons pu bénéficier de services à la carte, réservation d' un chauffeur privé, massages, pressing...
L' emplacement est idyllique, le bungalow très propre, confortable et original.
