Excellent Hotel, beautifully decorated and so comfortable
Pros:

Beautifully restored building and tastefully decorated. A very warm welcome when I arrived. My room was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable. Fresh milk in the fridge too! I was worried about noise being above a pub and on the 1st floor, however it had excellent soundproofing and I slept really well!

Excellent location near to the cathedral and city of wells. Welcoming staff, lovely rooms and a pub.
Pros:

Beautiful rooms , tea coffee and fresh milk in rooms. Lovely laundered bed linen and spotlessly clean

Cons:

Just need to remember to open the drawer for the earplugs for the traffic noise which wasn’t too bad but I wish I had found them the night before !

Really pleasant
Pros:

Very nice and clean room, the pub and restaurant was also very nice and comfortable

Cons:

The only thing was our room was at the front, we could hear everyone walking home from the pubs. We had to have the window open as was so hot, so not a negative really.

Pros:

Rooms very roomy, stylish and functional. Good food and friendly staff. Worked well as pub/ restaurant. Location on edge of town centre worked well.

Lovely place to stay for a night or two
Pros:

Room stylishly decorated and everything had been thought of to make the stay comfortable. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely- continental, but with extras.
Great location - an easy stroll into town.
Nice little beer garden at the back and some very good ales.

Cons:

The pub is on a busy road junction, but noise wasn’t too bad once you’re in the room.

Well presented room with lovely design features.

Cons:

The noise from the kitchen extractor fan (we stayed in the Galapagos room) was a little louder than we expected (but we did have window open as it was hot).

A charming and beautifully designed hotel with fantastic food and wonderful staff
Pros:

The decor was beautiful throughout and gave the hotel a really welcoming, stylish feel. The location was excellent for exploring Wells, the food in the pub was outstanding, and the staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Overall, the whole place had a lovely atmosphere and vibe that made it a very enjoyable stay.

Cons:

The main issue was that the bedroom window didn't open, which made the room feel very hot, especially during the warm weather, and it was difficult to sleep comfortably. There also didn't appear to be an extractor fan in the bathroom, which meant ventilation wasn't great and the bathroom didn't always smell particularly fresh.
