The New Valeron Hotel

We should have realised when we drove to the hotel and there were police cars , ambulances and the fire brigade all out we were in a dodgy area.
The manager came to the door with a cigarette in his mouth and told us to go round the back to park. We went round and he appeared at the fire door still with the cigarette (we suspected it was a joint with the smell we smelt when we went inside) he pointed to where we had to park. The fire door was about a metre off the ground and the only access was two crates to stand on.
We went into the hotel and there were police smelled was unbelievable, wacky baccy, cigarette, unclean and air freshener. I don’t know why we even ventured up to the room. The carpets were filthy and sticky, the skirting boards and bannisters were all chipped and guess what? He still had the roll up in his mouth.
We went to the room and it was foul, the ceiling was hanging down, possibly caused by damp, the smell was the same as downstairs, it actually made to gip. The skirting boards and window surrounds were dirty and chipped. The headboard was loose, possibly the least of our worries, the mattress was stained.
There were numerous dodgy looking people around. The whole place felt very unsafe and there was no way I was staying especially as I had my daughter with me.
We looked for the manager to tell him we weren’t prepared to stay but couldn’t find him and I wasn’t prepared to go and deeper into this place.
I am totally disgusted that Booking.com are allowing people to book this place on their website. They shouldn’t be sending decent people who are parting with their hard earned cash to this dangerous dirty place. I can’t believe that they haven’t sent someone there to check it out before they marketed it. This isn’t a hotel it’s a hostel. Please do not book it, I spent my money on it and it doesn’t look like I’m getting back.
This place should be reported to the council and the police for health and safety reasons alone.

Staff lied about refund for deposit

The whole place, it was disgusting and dirty and smelly, if I was homeless I wouldn't stay there.
The whole place smelt foisty, the carpets were filthy, there was a holein the floor in the room where the pool table is.
The man was creepy and cracked head looking.
The 1st room we was given we were told the lights didn't work because they had a leak so we was moved to another room, that room was no better it stank bad and was filthy, no towels not that I would use them, the shower was mouldy and dirty the toilet was disgusting and the toilet brush had feaces on. The kettle was dirty and there were no cups or complimentary tea and coffee, the bed was broken and dirty. The whole place was horrible. DO NOT BOOK A STAY HERE. The photos on booking.com must be years and years old as it was nothing like in the images. Booking.com should be checking these places out to make sure they are advertising correctly.

Couldnt get in. Couldnt understand staff, no parking, no restaurant/breakfast, no towels, no toiletries, no tea spoon. Stained sheets, stain towels when we asked for some, wifi only on ground floor. Front garden contained a car tyre, a traffic cone, as shoe, an old pushchair
