On arrival on the Friday the staff were amazing 2 members of staff helped me to the room while my husband parked the car
Pros:

The bedroom was beautiful. The bed was really comfy and overall it was a lovely roomy

On our last evening we finished the night back at our hotel we bought a bottle of red wine which was quite expensive to be given cheap plastic throw away glasses it was after 10 o’clock and we were sat inside so why we couldn’t have proper glasses were ridiculous we were of an average age of 60 so were unlikely of causing any trouble, also we had some gin and tonic’s to which the bartender who clearly wasn’t very happy poured all of the tonic into the plastic pint glass this was totally unacceptable.

Dated and needing refurbish.
Pros:

Great staff, great bar and entertainment and good quality food available. Good location and outside tables. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

Toilet seat didnt fit and was loose. Basin tap loose and no plug in basin. Ensuite door didnt close fully. TV remote only worked when behind TV. Towel radiator was too hot to touch, literally!

The staff when around were pleasant.

Cons:

No food available although alternative breakfast in the cartmel cafe was provided. The property smelled of fish and decay. It needed a good clean. Shower head did not work. I paid for upgrade and got a basic room. I walked on the bedroom floor with bare feet and they were filthy! No loo roll in the ladies.the outside area was also filthy.glasses left from the night before etc.

Lovely stay in quaint pub
Pros:

Lovely location and decent room

Cons:

No Wi Fi in the room they need to put boosters in. These aren’t dislikes but feel they should be mentioned.
You have to go over the road to a cafe for your breakfast 9-30/11:00 am where they have a deal that entitles you for up to £15 PP for your breakfast anything over that and you have to put the extra to it. Parking near the pub is limited to 1hr. There is a pay as you leave car park about 200 mts away

Had to ask for heating to be put on every night( on last 4 nights of October??) Bathroom sink would not drain, went down for evening meal at 7-45pm was told finished serving (hotel guide in room says food stops at 9pm) cobwebs on window frame with dead flies, we were only guests staying so not a good experience

Always a lovely stay in Cartmel. Just didn't expect the pub to be shut on the second day of our stay
Pros:

Breakfast was good first day.
Second day we had a reservation for breakfast organised by the staff, at the cafe across the square. The King Arms was shut on MONDAY.

Cons:

We asked for extra teabags and milk from staff on the Monday morning.
We had none in our room.
We saw a notice telling where to get extra supplies. Unfortunately there was no milk. So we were unable to have a cup of tea in the morning.
Couldn't ask staff because the pub was shut.

Pros:

Great location, easy check in and out, lovely room and bathroom.

Cons:

A little noisy from the pub until it closed. I should have expected that staying directly above the bar so a minor criticism.
