The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. They wrote down and explained the name and area for a bus we needed to catch and even helped us locate the time tables on our phones.
The breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit and hot option.
Unfortunately our room was not very clean. There was light mould and residue in the bathroom and around the sliding doors to the balcony, a lot of rust and residue in the bathroom and a cockroach in the wardrobe.
The housekeepers did their job well. The pool was nice although couldn't find spaces for outdoors one.
Putting worst here first: there was a COCKROACH in our food. The bartender in the cocktail bar brought us some nuts with our drinks and I was halfway through eating them when my mom told me there was a COCKROACH in there. Bartender didn't even bat an eye and just gave us new nuts (like I was gonna continue eating as if nothing happened!!). Reception was robotlike when I told them this, said they'll pass it along to the director. I highly doubt they'd react the same way if THEY were the ones who were eating food that had a roach sitting on there. Must be a common enough occurrence if they reacted this way!
Room had paper-thin walls, could hear everything from all sides; barely slept because there'd always be some loud noise even at 3am.
In general the rooms are super dated and have rust/mould in corners, only one socket in the room so we had to take turns charging our phones.
The luggage room you cab leave your luggage after checkout is not locked up and they have no way of marking which lugagge is yours; anybody can walk in through that door, ask where the luggage room is, and just go have their pick. All hotels I've stayed at previously had a locked room and a luggage tag system.
I might not have cared so much about the other details and not mentioned them if not for the cockroach but that really colored my entire stay in a horrible light. Poorly handled as well.
Spacious, nice pool area, nice breakfast.
