It was comfortable and close to where I attending a funeral service, which was a great help.
Nothing not to like.
Very convenient, friendly owner, clean room and as expected.

It was quiet and in a great location

Good location, close to centre of Sudbury.
Our room was above the main road which was quite nosy even on Sunday morning. Also sadly the cafe was closing early when we arrive so we couldn’t eat there. Didn’t open on Sundays so we ate breakfast in Sudbury.
Hardly anything. We chose this hotel because we were visiting friends who live in Gt Waldingfield, We arrived to find little parking and parked in the small courtyard. No one was around so we had to ring bell to get in to hotel, managed to get key and find our room. I had explained when booking my husband uses a walking stick, we were informed rooms were on first floor and a small step into shower. The hotel is quaint, old fashioned, with uneven floors, narrow passage ways. Unfortunately our room was quite a way up staircase and right by the busy road. The worst aspect was a low large beam across the room in front of the bathroom. I am 5.5. and I still had to duck under it, very dangerous especially in the night using the bathroom. The shower was indeed a step up and the floor was extremely slippery. On a plus side the water was hot. The sash windows were left open so it was very noisy. Windows needing cleaning and the room generally looked tired. Only one bedside light, and bed very close to window, so you had to turn sideways to walk round. Bed linen very clean but the duvet was too heavy for the summer weather. Fortunately we were there for the one night only. On our return home we found Bookings email explaining about self check in but it had arrived after we had left the house to start our journey. Certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel, we were very disappointed.
Read our response above. It was fairly expensive considering it didn't include breakfast.
Good location, friendly staff in the cafe.ca
Can't think of anything.
Location. Value for money. Excellent breakfasts
Lack of power plugs either side of bed for recharging iPhones
Good value for money. Great location. Outstanding breakfasts
The rooms were clean but a little frayed around the edges
Excellent and friendly attentive service during breakfast.
Unfortunately the Traffic noise from the adjacent road and being unable to close the window to sleep properly spoiled the visit to the point that we returned home a day early.
Noisy road and very slippery shower tray
My second time of staying here and another visit coming up in November. I chose it because it's walking distance from the rail station, for an oldie like me, and a few minutes walk to the Theatre. It's accessibility is good, and it's quiet.
For one night, nothing. I go prepared with food for teatime
The location near the town was great and the attached cafe was very tasty and helpful.
The nostalgic old Suffolk architecture was pleasant for a local.
The furniture in the bedroom was well laid out, the bed-head and chaise longue quite special.
The double glazing kept out most of the street noise when properly closed.
The large fridge was a bonus for snacks.
The lower part of the wardrobe had a strong smell and would be better checked and lined.
The troll (pump) behind the lavatory can surprise you at night! However, the pumps made the en-suite bathrooms possible without spoiling the Elizabethan interior, which is amazing for a small ex-pub.
Very quiet location. Comfortable bed. Good shower.
Noise from toilet maceraters. No wi-fi.
The landlady is very friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate and clean. It’s a lovely place to stay and I’m sure we will come back again.
