Location was good for BST Hyde Park festival - about 25 minute walk
Honestly the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, I booked it for location and for aircon… our room didn’t have aircon even though it’s listed when you book, as someone who has disabilities and overheats I found this very distressing as it was a heatwave (obviously the weather isn’t the hotels fault but 30 degrees with no air con or even air from being able to leave a window open due to being a ground floor out the back of the hotel was horrendous). We spoke to reception and we were advised “that wing of the hotel doesnt have aircon” and we couldn’t move rooms as they were fully booked to the festival. They did bring us a fan (didn’t help but the gesture counts I guess) however the fan was FILTHY, I’m talking two inches of dust and dirt on the blades. I asked to check in early, I was allowed to do so an hour early which im grateful for, however the room was dirty, to the point my partner went to M&S and bought some antibac wipes so we could clean down the surfaces ourselves, again I know they were busy and let us in early but I wasn’t expecting to have to clean the room myself. Dirt aside it was just a very run down dingy room (curtains had to be kept closed due to being ground floor out the back of the hotel) there was marks and stains all over the walls and curtains, it just wasn’t a pleasant. We hated the stay so much we paid to change our train time so we could leave early and just get home. Wouldn’t stay here again location wasn’t good enough to outweigh the negatives.
We had a twin room, G105, right next to the reception.
The beds were very comfortable.
The room was bigger than expected, and felt very clean.
It had a water boiler, tea, coffee etc, biscuit and complementary bottled water, a wardrobe with safety locker.
It was a heatwave with 34°Celsius, and the room had AC, thankfully, so it was nice and cool.
The bathroom was clean and had a bathtub.
The breakfast had everything one needed. I only missed watermelon (as many hotels in my country usually have that).
It was natural yoghurt, milk, cereals, berries, bread, toast, crossiant, butter, various marmelades, cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, juices, and warm dishes as boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms and baked beans, tea and two coffee/chocolate machines.
Very friendly staff.
It was close to bus-, and tube stations, about 5 minutes by foot. The city area was filled with nice restaurants and some grocerystores.
The area in which it was located was very nice and felt safe.
I recommend it.
I've never been a fan of fitted carpets, so that's the only negative thing.
It's a very typical English thing, so I can't blame them.
But it did feel clean.

We booked a triple room and when we arrived we were told the triple room didn’t have air con. I had previously checked this when chatting to them and they confirmed there was air con in the room. We were then told there were maintenance issues and given 3 single rooms on different floors. One of our party is 6 months pregnancy and had to stay in a room alone. One of us was put in a basement room that had no window and smelt. Staff were not helpful or very understanding and hotel didn’t inform us of the issue before we stayed. The story kept changing, our triple was available then it wasn’t. Honestly got the impression that they had overbooked the hotel. Or the rooms are too hot so they need to stop advertising and telling people every room has air con. We had this trip booked for a while so really disappointed.
The staff were polite and helpful. Cannot fault them
Our first room had no aircon and the heat was unbearable and we had a fan that sounded like a helicopter.
Bed sheets stained and had hairs on them.
Rooms are not very clean
No hot water
Breakfast was very standard
It was clean
