Warm friendly staff place eas spotless
Clean well looked after
The bathroom was great. Large shower with textured floor so it wasn't slippery, although a rubber bath mat was also provided, which I appreciate. I also liked the little Smeg kettle, which was cute and clean. Service at breakfast was efficient.
Booked a four poster suite for our wedding night, was then contacted to be told it wasn't actually available due to ongoing refurbishment, and offered a slightly smaller room and champagne instead. The room was pretty small and smelled strongly of paint, and the door handle was unfinished. Breakfast was not great, with sausages chewier than a dog toy. I guess I expected much better given the price point.

Beautiful room, super big comfy bed, super big shower, super big tv on the wall. Really lovely security. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Nothing at all- we had a pricked with the shower drain on our second day but it didn’t affect our enjoyment.

Upgraded to a beautiful new twin room which was luxuriously kitted out. Bathroom excellent. Fridge with complimentary water and milk was a nice touch. Taxi ordered for me which came perfectly on time. Lady on check out very experienced and friendly.
Issues with card machine which delayed both arrival and checkout when I had limited time. No member of staff on reception when I came down. Room was cold, and no instruction on how to adjust thermostat( which I understand was possibly as it was a new room) Same with shower gel etc, as difficulty opening when in shower, assume its as brand new. perhaps a small sign re mirror light also. accept theses are just teething issues with a new room.
Due to refurbishment the noise from residents was loud therfore lack of sleep

Food for all meals was good and well priced. Breakfast was included and they were happy to change the menu to accommodate our needs.

A lovely place to stay, set back from the village but very close on foot. A very comfortable room. Wrea Green is on the main half-hourly bus route between Preston and Blackpool, so very convenient. We arrived by train at the nearest station (Kirkham & Wesham) with a bus stop almost outside. We were attending a do at Ribby Hall Village which has a bus stop outside too, so easy to go to/fro there although it is walking distance with pavements the whole way.
It would be an improvement to put a sign directing visitors to reception from the footpath off Mill Lane. We walked from the bus stop past the huge green to Pudding Pie Nook that leads to Mill Lane, then a short path (loose surface but dry) through some trees to emerge on the car park but with no signage. From there it was a mystery tour to find the reception.

We loved the hotel and location, gorgeous building and very large room and the cleaning was excellent, specially in the bathroom. The breakfast was very tasty and staff was very friendly and attentive.
Decoration of the rooms could be improved if anything.
Not having a good internet connection was a problem, and we could watch anything on tv or laptop.
The location was serene and easily accessible by foot and taxi. The room was beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect and we would be happy to recommend to others, and to stay here again in the future!
There were renovations being carried out which were a little noisy, but they were properly signposted at reception so it wasnt a suprise to hear works being done in other rooms. Some of the decor could do with updating (broken tiles in bathroom, etc) but it didn't affect our stay at all. The bath was gorgeous but the shower did not work properly and lost pressure during use.
