No evening meals on Sundays
Our pub's kitchen closes early on a Sunday and last orders for food are at approx. 3pm. If you have booked for Sunday we will be glad to facilitate an early check-in to accommodate for this. The Star Inn at Harbottle (3 min drive) is also an excellent alternative if you can't arrive early.

Our pub is normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
Please note that our pub/restaurant is closed on most Mondays (unless Monday is a Bank Holiday) and Tuesdays. The Star Inn will be open and we will help with transport if necessary.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Gemütliche Unterkunft
Pros:

Relativ neues Haus was mit Liebe eingerichtet wurde. Die Lage für den National Park war super. Shuttles Service zum nächsten Pub an den Ruhetagen des eigenen Pubs. Sehr geräumiges und schönes Badezimmer mit toller Dusche.

Cons:

Die Matratzen waren mir persönlich leider zu weich.

Two weeks went by so quickly - we have to go again!!
Pros:

The breakfasts were very good. We had choices of fruit juices, cereals and cooked. Fabulous. What's not to like. We were treated very well by everyone. We will be going back!

Outstanding for a quiet, restful break.
Pros:

We enjoyed the remoteness and beauty of the area.
Our hosts were lovely and helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfasts were delicious, varied and ample.

Cons:

We had to travel out for dinners on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as the attached pub is closed .

Pros:

Friendly, clean and perfect location for hiking. EV Charging just up the road. Breakfast was superb.

Cons:

Kettle in the room would have been nice, but one was available in the communal area so no problem.

Too hot to walk as much as we had planned but still found lots to do - lovely few days.
Pros:

Beautiful location. Excellent breakfasts. Lovely, friendly staff especially with our dog.

Cons:

Size of room was a bit cramped with dog but bathroom splendid. Over pub kitchen so cooking fumes rather overwhelming at times.

Lovely stay in Northumberland
Pros:

Excellent stay. Susan made us feel very welcome and at home. Lovely room and cooked breakfast, our two dogs had a sausage each morning too! Highly recommend.

Pros:

The location is excellent for walking. The breakfasts are excellent and they look after the pets very well at breakfast time. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating

An exceptional place to stay with a lovely host. Probably the best B&B I have stayed in.
Pros:

This B&B is exceptional. The facilities are of the highest standard, and it is quite a unique place to stay. All the rooms are named after poets and are fitted out to the highest standard. The dining room/kitchen is lovely and the breakfast is very good indeed. Susan, the host, is wonderful.

Great place for a short stay.
Pros:

Very comfortable bed - perfect. Breakfast was highly rated. We had eaten before we arrived BUT I saw the Sunday lunches being served and wished we hadn’t eaten before we arrived. Great looking food for the price.

Cons:

Bathroom was a little tight and the room was VERY warm and windows won’t open.
