The breakfast room was comfortable
The whole place was cold and loud. The doors all have the be opened by two handles at once so you can’t be holding anything. The bathroom is down the hall. I’m sure the listing didn’t say that? We have stayed in many old pubs, hotels, manor course across Australia and the uk and none have been as cold and loud as this. Sorry but even though the host is lovely- neither my husband or I recommend it.
Historic property beautifully renovated, a rare original Huon pine staircase leading up to the rooms. Our room was wonderful with no detail spared. Quality linen and toiletries, super comfortable bed. Enjoyed an evening in the bar with extensive Tasmanian beer and wine list.

Very quaint and comfortable. It is a lovely old hotel which heaps of charm. Our host, Gavin was very friendly, extremely helpful and cheerful. Guests have their own private bathroom, which is located down the hall, but it works very well. The bedroom is small but charming. If you are after something with some history, charm and character then this fits the bill nicely. If you want something modern etc, perhaps not. We loved it. Breakfast was included - it was simple but nice. The Indian restaurant across the road is excellent and highly recommended for delicious home cooked Indian cuisine. We would also recommend the Beaconsfield Heritage Mining Museum located close by. A fascinating and historical site.

The hotel is beautifully renovated with modern pieces beautifully mixed with the heritage feel. Small luxuries like thick fresh towels, heating in the bathroom and unlimited acces to make coffees and teas made it a great experience.
The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The builing was tastefully renovated and it was a pleasure to stay there.

The restoration work done on this property is amazing
Staying in a lovely restored heritage listed building. Location was great for what we wanted to do. We enjoyed the continental breakfast options. Our room was large and comfortable and we had exclusive access to the breakfast/lounge room as we were the only guests on our floor. Gavin was a welcoming, accommodating and delightful host - he even contacted us prior to our stay to make sure we had the right breakfast options!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! We had a beautiful room with a private bathroom with a bathtub. The owners were lovely and made us feel so welcome and had some great suggestions for places to eat and see.
