The style and comfort of the rooms. The staff were really helpful (and treated us well for our anniversary stay) and it's a lovely hotel in a really nice spot.
For some reason I sneezed a lot in our room especially. Perhaps the aircon had something in it, I'm not sure!

Bar and restaurant closed for a private event, warned at reception on check in but pre warning in welcome email before stay would have been better . Breakfast buffet okay but lots of continental items gone and not replaced despite there being an hr left of service
Central location, friendly staff and quiet room. Able to check in early which was very helpful. Have stayed here before and it feels comfortable and safe. Great to have a fridge on a hot day.

Great location, loved the rooftop bar and cocktails, rooms are modern, immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom and shower. Great air conditioning as it was very hot when I was there. Helpful staff, comfortable cosy beds.
We ordered room service which took an hour and a half to arrive after I had to speak to reception. There is no phone to call reception so you have to go physically down there. The room service was not cleared from outside the room for nearly 24 hours and again I had to ask for it to be done. The hotel is a bit of a maze, better and clearer signage would be helpful.
Very clean, very quiet, room was lovely with modern facilities, friendly staff, great central location, lovely views from the terrace bar.
No parking , although parking nearby . Sheffield city centre undergoing a lot of modernisation so not easy to find by car if you are unfamiliar with the city.

Building works outside. Should’ve been notified this beforehand and would’ve booked somewhere else for sleep quality purposes. Woken up before I would’ve like to due to digging etc. Also meant the route to the hotel reception door was more difficult to find and get to (again signage would’ve been adequate to help). When trying the check in not 1 but 2 people pushed in to get there bags “as they were late for a train”. I find it very unprofessional the staff just dropped everything they were currently dealing with to attend to these customers that had poor timekeeping (why should us patiently waiting be delayed by poor timekeepers?)

We went for a garden view but it was obliterated by noisy roadworks outside.
We have stayed there 3 or 4 times now but these roadworks certainly impact our experience.

Issues with the tv
The hote overalll is lovely. The location is perfect and the whole place felt new and clean. No complaints about the building. Our negative comments may be just circumstantial to our stay,. We just felt that we had a lovely hotel, but a terrible night's sleep and a few areas that need to be improved and one area (the bells) that the hotel can't do anything about, but travellers need to be aware of
Staff were mediocre - we arrived and instead of a friendly greeting, we received "surname?". Reception staff barely acknowledged us during our stay and not said a word on checkout.
The air conditioning didn't cool the room. We set it to cool, then 10 mins later it switched off. Many attempts at getting cool air didn't work .
The TV chanels were limited to say the least. The system needs to be upgraded and actually allow more than 3 channels. Nothing worked and the system was unbelievably slow.
Finally, the town hall clock goes off every 15 mins. I appreciate it's nothing to do with the hotel, but worth noting if you're staying here. Lying in bed at 8am with the bells of big Ben going off every 15 mins doesn't warrant a good sleep
