This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before being able to check into the flat. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.

For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag.

Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).
Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.

Pros:

La ubicación es perfecta, cerca de todo. La cama muy confortable y la habitación muy espaciosa

Cons:

Nos fuimos a las 8.30 de la mañana, pusimos el cartel en la puerta para que limpiaran e hicieran la habitación , pero al llegar a las 16.30 nos encontramos con la habitación sin hacer.

Fantastic older style apartment in great location overlooking the Douro river.
Pros:

The accomodation was large and in a great location overlooking the Douro river, in an older period style building featuring high ceilings,polished wooden floors.

Cons:

Lack of amenities such as basic plates,bowls and utensils.Also for the size of the apartment extra casual seating would have made the stay more comfortable.

Godt, selvbetjent hotell med flere store, luftige rom og svært sentral beliggenhet i livlig område
Pros:

Svært sentral beliggenhet i gamlebyen, med gangavstand til mange turistattraksjoner, til offentlig transport, til sightseeingbusser/-båter og til svært mange varierte spisesteder. Vi satte stor pris på dette.
Stort, luftig, rent rom med de viktigste fasiliteter, store vinduer og med utsikt til elva Douro. Veldig rolig inne på hotellet.
Satte stor pris på det lille kjøleskapet, særlig etter at vi fikk skrudd det opp til maks kjøling. Dessuten flott, romslig skap med mange hengere og innvendig lys. God dobbeltseng. Helt ok bad, men litt dårlig vanntrykk.
Bra møblert, og savnet bare en ekstra lenestol slik at begge kunne spise frokost sammen og nyte utsikten til elva og til Gaia på den andre siden.

Cons:

Mye lyd fra trafikkert gate rett utenfor, også seint på kvelden og tidlig på natta. Litt plagsomt i starten, men løste seg ved å ha på gulvvifta. Den laget en jevn lyd som "overdøvet" den varierende lyden fra gata.
Hadde det vært svært høye temperaturer mens vi var i byen, ville vi nok ha savnet AC på rommet, selv om det var stort og luftig. For oss holdt det fint å bruke vifta siden maks. temp var rundt 25 C.
Dessverre smekklås i døra. Vi klarte å låse oss ute av rommet en gang vi var stresset fordi taxien til feiring av et bryllup ventet. Tok veldig lang tid (30 min.) å få svar på telefonen fra GuestReady (i Frankrike?). De fant etter et par timer noen som skaffet en ekstranøkkel (for 20 Euro). Savnet da mulighet til å kontakte direkte noen som arbeider på hotellet, dvs.. en av renholderne
Det gamle, fine gulvet med brede planker hadde enkelte sprekker rett foran en av balkongdørene/-vinduene og foran døra inn til badet. Disse burde fikses for å unngå skader.

It should be mentioned that there is no elevator / lift. People that walk with difficulty might have issues. It should be more clear about the entrance and address, It is not on the street side of the building, where the door and reception is, but at the back of the building at another door,

Pros:

La habitación era grande, limpia y con muy buena iluminación para el día. La cama era grande y las sábanas súper suaves. Estaba como nuevo todo y me gustó la decoración sencilla, pero con estilo.

Generally good value for money - with some downsides
Pros:

was all in all a nice place and good value for money. It was clean and pretty much as described online. Also location was pretty central.

Cons:

The staff were always giving us plain standard answers via WhatsApp that weren‘t really helpful - as it was coming from a Chatbot. We had an issue with the toilet on the first day which got 'fixed' pretty soon, even on a Saturday. I‘m writing 'fixed' because the issue remained, also after the mechanic came and had a look at it. The toilet kept running during our entire stay.
Also we have asked to give us a heads up before the mechanic guy came into our room - which hasn‘t happened. Also it‘s not possible to leave luggage anywhere in the place before/after your stay.

We had a lovely time and would definitely go back to Portugal!
Pros:

The location was absolutely amazing. Honestly couldn't have asked for better. The room is large and the views are amazing (when you can open the doors). It was nice to feel a bit like you were in your own apartment and it was very secure getting in and out. The shower towels were nice and large and great quality.

Cons:

The listing clearly states that the property has AC, and it DOES NOT. We were in the middle of the heat wave in Europe, and we only had 1 small fan to try and help cool us down. Our options were to get no sunlight in the room during the day, and not get to enjoy the views while we were in the space - or have the temperature in the room increase to unbearable levels. Then at night we had to have the doors open to let in a breeze and try to cool down the room - but then we didn't feel secure because the balcony connected to other areas and it was very loud because we're in a populated / busy part of town. There was no winning in that situation. We didn't let it ruin our time, but it was definitely disappointing and made it hard to get a good nights rest - especially because the bedding had plastic/ polyester on it so it was VERY HOT.
There was no 'room upkeep' service, we only had 1 towel each for the entire stay, there was no soap to wash the dishes (coffee cups etc).
