tutto perfetto,veramente
Absolutely fabulous place. Service, rooms, breakfast, bar area and lounge - all spot on. Made to feel very welcome, beds are comfy and super clean. Will be going back for sure. Highly recommended!
Nothing to dislike.
Good breakfast, the location was good for accessing Chatsworth and nearby villages. Attractive building with reasonably sized comfortable air conditioned room with nice gardens and a large car park at the rear. The staff were all very attentive and helpful.
The hotel is on a busy road so there was road noise. There was also occasional noise from a neighbouring room as the walls were thin near the doorways. I was interested in the river view/location, but the view was obstructed by poorly maintained foliage. It would have been very useful to have had a small fridge and better lighting in the room.
A quaint and charming Peak District country Inn with a wonderfully luxurious feel—we got exactly what we were hoping for! The staff were lovely and attentive, the Sunday roast was excellent, and the wine list was superb. Fabulous breakfast! A beautiful, welcoming place with plenty of character.
Our room was at the very top of this tiny staircase (the Harry Potter room which sloped!). We were perfectly fine with it but some travellers may find this a difficulty.
It's a beautiful place and due to the warm weather we were able to have breakfast in the garden
My husbands roast beef was niles too rare for him and it was simply flashed under a salamander and returned still too rare inside. On contrast, my meal was beautiful
This is what a country inn in the middle of England should be like. The setting and the surroundings were so picturesque, but the room was updated and comfortable. We loved everything about it.
Great location for walking routes straight from the doorstep; comfortable and clean with lovely breakfast options; warm, helpful staff; ample parking onsite.
All the staff at the Peacock hotel were outstanding. They were welcoming, professional and always smiling!
My single room was quiet and comfortable and had everything I wanted.
Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the garden were superb.
The Peacock is a first class hotel in a lovely old building. Highly recommended.
Nothing
The location was excellent; the hotel was nicely furnished and the gardens were beautiful. A particular mention for the staff who were also excellent - very, but not over attentive.
Although the breakfast was very good, some buffet style options for fruit juices, toast, teas & coffees would have been nice.
The staff were like they had all just passed a degree in hospitality , absolutely perfect nothing was to much trouble, food was amazing and probably the best breakfast.
I liked everything.
Superb breakfast and amazing dinner the night before
