Animal View Point Yala

Superbe expérience. Au milieu de la nature, vous êtes accueillis par un couple charmant d'une très grande attention. Excellent dîner préparé par leurs soins. Concept très original de maisons dans les arbres, extrêmement bien réalisés et très propre. Nous regrettons juste de n'y avoir passé qu'une nuit. Le propriétaire propose aussi des excursions dans le parc national.

Super. Lieu exceptionnel, en bordure du parc de Yala. Shashika et son épouse nous ont très bien accueillis. Nous avons eu la chance de faire un petit tour à pied avec eux dans les environs, à la tombée de la nuit.
Dîner superbe sur place. Expérience unique, à faire !

An excellent place in nature. This was just the perfect place to stay and go on Safari. The guy running it, Shashika, was an incredibly kind and thoughtful person, he put in lots of effort to make us feel welcome. The gorgeous dog Roe was also there to look after us

The room was very clean and fine for a family of four. The pool on the balcony was a perfect place to watch the sunset and cool off after an afternoon safari.

One of the highlights was the home cooked meal we had, very delicious and very locally sourced. All in a wonderful outdoor setting.

Shashika also prepared a packed breakfast for our dawn safari the next day which was a nice touch. He also offered us a walking tour around the property which we would have loved to do if we weren’t tight for time.

Food was excellent, Shashika and his mum are very good cooks and it’s real Sri Lankan food and it was good he gave us some treats (like ice cream bc it was so hot) for free!
It is one of the most unique places I have stayed in. Our room had the view of where the water buffaloes go, which was so surreal to watch them being ushered into the lake by the farmers and out everyday. Peacocks walked by and depending on the season it could be elephants! Nothing beats how unique it is. It’s literally a treehouse.
Next AMAZINF thing was the plunge pool which saved us from the heat, kt was so nice to have and cool to watch the wildlife from the pool. The location is great too u can see border of yala
U can also book jeep safari w Shashika, which is good, u can also book thru ur driver too but I think Shashika was best option bc hes right there and has knowledge himself or knows good drivers - he really looked after us in terms of food
They also have the cutest dog Ro!! 🐕 he was such a good boy and if u ever left by urself to go on a walk he will follow and protect u

It was a unique experience to stay in the national park. The host was informative and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and the home cooked food was incredible. I’d highly recommend staying here if you want to experience a submersive experience within the national park of Yala.

A warm welcome from our host Shishika who is seeking to expand the facilities by building a couple of new rooms. We stayed in the tree house which was quite an experience - steep wooden stairs with an amazing view from the top, and built around the tree itself so the tree is in the middle of the room! We experienced wildlife first hand with a tiny tree frog appearing in our room as well as a small lizard – we had been warned and it was all part of the experience of being close to nature. We went to sleep to the sound of nightjars singing. The photos I've included were all taken in or around the grounds.
We were treated to a sunset walk around the area by the host who is passionate about wildlife and preserving the beauty of this area. This was followed by a delicious meal in the evening and we were also provided with a packed breakfast for our morning safari.

We stayed in a treehouse up 3 sets of steps, view was beautiful, lovely sounds of nature. It felt magical. It was compact but had everything we needed.
Shishika and his family went over and above to make our stay special. The homecooked food was exceptional and each dish explained when served, many with health giving properties and growing on their land.
They are further developing their business with a family tree house almost completed, it looks amazing.
Bed was really comfortable.
We had an enjoyable and informative walk round the lake on the edge of Yala park. I messaged ahead to ask about safari and this was arranged. We had the feeling that nothing was too much trouble.

All of the food was exceptional. The staff treated us to some local specialities. A special note is that we had the best cup of tea we've ever drunk.
We loved the tree house for it's quirkiness and excellent views.
The owner took us for a walk around the locality in the evening which was very interesting and informative, with lots of birds and animals, an extra special treat.

Wir haben zwei wundervolle Nächte hier verbracht. Der Gastgeber war äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten versucht, das Baumhaus zu buchen, das aber leider belegt war. Da es aber in der ersten Nacht nicht gebucht war, durften wir die Nacht dort verbringen. Seine Mutter kocht sehr gut - eines unserer besten Essen der ganzen Reise. Die von ihm organisierte Jeep‑Safari war hervorragend, und wir hatten sogar das Glück, Leoparden zu sehen. Gleich nach der Ankunft nimmt er die Gäste mit auf einen kleinen Spaziergang – eine perfekte Einstimmung. Und der Tee? Der beste unserer gesamten Reise!
Wir können diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen.

I loved staying here - it's quirky and different and that made it really special. The host is so friendly and helpful and the food onsite is delicious and plentiful. Isn't it every child's dream to live in a tree house? The view from the balcony overlooking Yale National Park is special. Unfortunately, I was out on safaris for most of the time I was staying there, so I didn't really get to appreciate it fully.

Our stay at Animal View Point was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning location the views are absolutely breathtaking and offer a perfect sense of peace and beauty.

The hospitality here is on another level. The owner is incredibly kind and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He is genuinely helpful and makes you feel right at home.

But the real secret highlight? His mother’s cooking! Do not miss out on the meals here; she is a fantastic cook and every dish was authentic and delicious. It truly added a special touch to our stay.

If you are looking for a beautiful place with a warm, family atmosphere, this is it. Highly recommended!

The tree house at animal view point was a property full of character. The welcome and the care taken by Shishika and his family was fantastic. The food was very good and it was a real break from the hustle and bustle of Kandy and Ella. We went for an evening walk around the lakes and saw crocodiles, lots of beautiful birds and water buffalo, and were in a great location to get an early start for a safari into Yala block one. It was an amazing day, we saw 4 leopards and a sloth bear amongst many other animals. The hosts were more than happy to help with organising the safari and transfers.

Very nice room and location, and we were very nicely welcomed. The food was excellent. We went for a lovely guided walk around the hotel to see the birds and sunset. We've also seen the new tree house which looks superb and ready to welcome new customers with an amazing view

Die Lage ist einmalig, der Besitzer immer da und sehr besorgt.
Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Mutter kocht mit dem was die Natur hergibt einfach vorzüglich 😍
Der abendliche Spaziergang durch die Wildnis ein besonderes Highlight.
Als wir schon auf dem Weg zum Bett waren, wurden wir nochmals gerufen, ein Elefant war gleich im See neben dem Grundstück, genial!

Séjour inoubliable chez Shashika et sa famille. Chambre en cabane hyper originale avec vue sur la nature environnante. Douche tiède. Diner absolument délicieux et possibilité de panier petit-déjeuner pour partir en safari le lendemain.
Si le temps et votre itinéraire le permettent, n'hésitez pas à arriver vers 15h-16h pour profiter d'une balade en bordure de parc avec Shashika. Il sait tout sur les animaux, leurs traces, leurs nids... Fascinant !
