Location was good but small car park meant only alternative was on street parking, quiet road though.
Room was tired but generous size. Paint work in ensuite and bedroom carpets are due a refresh.
Shower tray did not drain effectively.
Clean and comfortable

Location and staff
Historic hotel in quiet village, with character.
Breakfast included in the price.
Lovely garden with plenty of places to sit in the shade.
Happy Hour in the bar was actually an hour and a half.
Reception staff were helpful and obliging.
The wait staff in the dining room were inexperienced and inattentive.
I ordered a starter as a main but it was delivered well before my husband's food, and I was asked to select a dessert - again, before my husband received his meal.
The carpet in the dining room was a disgrace, as were the doors.
The breakfast was excellent. Great variety of hot and cold food.
No A/C for some of the hottest days in England.
Lovely garden to enjoy a drink and fabulous breakfast
Really friendly staff, especially Sally
Hard to find fault
To be fair it does need updating but there is something so quaint and a good location for places to visit
Just needs a upgrade
Food was fantastic of a very high quality. We had an evening meal on the two nights we stayed there. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly…nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely be happy to return.
Location and friendly staff
A little bit run down. Caulking came off the tile work and ended up in the bathtub
Excellent stay with our dog
Nothing
Location and a nice old looking building
The bathroom tub. Risky to take a shower. No hanrails for a slippery tub
Location is good, bed comfy, fan in room helpful and needed. Good water pressure. WiFi fast. Easy check in and out. Decent breakfast but more healthy options would be welcome. Nice and quiet.
Room was very tired and carpet worn, vaulted ceilings meant you need to stoop a lot but it is an old building. Boiling hot on second floor. It was fine for a couple of nights in the area but hard to recommend strongly at the price for the size of the room. Actually, the thing that made me most annoyed of all was the coffee at breakfast. It was absolutely revolting, i was almost offended to be served it.
Beautiful building and lovely beer garden. It was great having a small private patio to use from the bedroom. Being able to leave the door open in the hot weather was great.
Parts of the building were in need of a bit of love and attention. Some of the paintwork was looking a little tired. The private patio needs a good weeding.
