Loved getting to know the staff and the location was perfect!
Pros:

Having the restaurant onsite made it so convenient! Loved the beach access and being able to sleep with the windows open to listen to the waves.

Cons:

Just make sure you book the superior suite if you want the remodeled rooms.

Pros:

Restaurant staff, front desk woman. Bed was super comfortable! View was wonderful but not able to sit on balcony to enjoy.

Cons:

Patio furniture very gross. Not able to use table and chairs to sit outside on the balcony. Microwave removed. Refrigerator 's little freezer was iced over 4" thick.

I have stayed here before and i already knew that they had renovated it but the room i stayed in wasnt remodeled at all
Pros:

Nice view, and room was cleaned

Cons:

There wasnt too much staff available if we had any questions,
The price wasnt worth what we paid for.

Awesome
Pros:

Gonzalo the property manager was so nice and makes you feel like part of the family.
The place is outstanding waking up to hearing the waves and going to sleep hearing the waves.
The price is affordable and the food is great.

Cons:

Nothing everything was great.

We needed a quiet and relaxing couple of days and this little hotel was perfect.
Pros:

Location. Oceanfront breathtaking views. Private beach accessible through long a staircase.
Room, sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels super clean. Balcony had lounge chairs and umbrella.
The restaurant seating area has an amazing view of the ocean. Welcoming staff.

Cons:

The bathroom needs a hand towel ring or something like it. There is nowhere to hang your toiletry bag or the used towels.
The hotel is going thru renovations and there’s construction around the facilities.

Everything fine until we had this situation. And the manager Gonzalo’s total unacceptable attitude
Cons:

Everything was fine, until we had a very unfortunate situation. We locked ourselves out of the room, and had to stay in our car due to the highly incompetent manager named Gonzalo. Basically he stated this was our fault, and he would not respond to any problems after his working hours. The next day he did not offer any type of apology, instead he went on and on trying to demean us. Totally unacceptable attitude. As I indicated we also tried to contact anyone at his other property in Tijuana, we spoke to Receptionist Adrian who spoke to his supervisor who claimed to have contacted Gonzalo and was told he would be there. I waited until 3am outside by the door. He never showed up.

La Fonda Hotel is a gem on the Baja coast!
Pros:

I’ve traveled the world and I stay in Boutique Hotels often. It’s rare that I find a place that significantly exceeds my expectations. The manager Gonzalo facilitated my stay. Thank you to him and his staff for their attention to detail. The location has one of the best views on the Baja Mexico coast. The food was amazing and delicious. My room was cleaned spotless every day. So a huge thanks to the team @ La Fonda!

Cons:

Construction as the Hotel is also under renovation.
