You cancelled my reservation last minute, due to Maintenance ? which caused me a lot of inconvenience as the rest of my party had reservation with you.

Cons:

Small bed , poor Breakfast , a rotten banana left on top of some apples, not an appetising sight. Stale bread for toasting. Full English breakfast, very average.

We didn’t stay - definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Cons:

Tired, dirty, poor state of repair. Charged £10 for early checkin 1 hour before even though the room was ready. Went to room and although four poster premium room not of a premium standard. Sat on bed and uncomfortable and creaked and room equally tired and unclean. Decided not to stay and checked out as so bad. Worst hotel we have attempted to stay in. An extortionate rate for the calibre of property. Lost money for our stay but would not have been comfortable staying in room allocated.

Historic hotel
Pros:

Historic building and decor. Comfortable bedroom.

Cons:

No staff apparently at first so didn't know what the set up was.
Cooked breakfast good. Cereal choice poor only cocopops and rice Krispies. No fruit, limited yoghurt. Coffee machine looked broken but apparently working just had no milk.

Last minute decision
Pros:

Pretty room. Local. Easy.
Bit gutted to be in the stables rather than the hotel. Although sure that olace is haunted !;🤣

Cons:

Nobody to check in.
Bar not open.
Room was uncomfortably hot.
Bed not particularly comfortable.(2 singles together?)

The original historic house and location

Cons:

The place was rather deserted, short of staff as well. Price for what you get did not make us enthousiast; breakfast and restaurant rather overpriced

It was pleasant enough for 1 night.
Pros:

Bedroom was nice, comfortable and staff were fantastic.
In fact the staff we interacted with were all fantastic.

Cons:

Bathroom old and tiered, with cheep toilet seat.

Fair experience considering the price.
Pros:

This ancient building is full of character and atmosphere. The staff were willing and helpful. Good sized room on the top floor. Car parking excellent (and necessary!)

Cons:

Minimal staffing. Menu not particularly exciting. Room not fully serviced on the middle day of the stay
