Great visit to Stromness and the Mainland of Orkney Islands.
Pros:

Nice little hotel in Stromness. Clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was great, breakfast staff was delightful.

Cons:

2 night stay. I don't think I ever got hot water. Warm but not hot. I could never get the heat going. Neither of these things bothered my stay, I took a quick shower and I don't mind a cool room.
They 'check in' guy was kinda grumpy, not the most pleasant.

Nice place to stay, expensive for a single room.
Pros:

Its position was great, in the centre of the village, however cars had to be parked a fair way from the hotel and I had trouble locating mine the next day.

Cons:

When leaving the next morning, couldn’t find anyone to check out, very impersonal.

Brilliant
Pros:

It was a beautiful hotel. Super comfy room. Super friendly people. Super location. Best breakfast in a hotel ever. Real personal touch from the chef who not only cooked up a very tasty feast, he was also a fab impromtu local guide. Wish I'd stayed longer. V highly recomend. Thank you.
