A decent stay with lovely staff - be prepared to wear earplugs if you want to sleep!
Pros:

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was a good size, clean and tidy and the food was lovely.

Cons:

The bathroom would have benefited from some more shelving / hooks etc - with 4 of us in a family room, all with washbags and towels there wasn't enough room to put everything. The bedroom window did not close and the road is noisy. We found the earplugs night two but it definitely impacted on sleep for us all.

Great value for money and would start there again on next trip to Bala
Pros:

Views were stunning and the staff were attentive and really understood food allergies. Hotel was clean too

Cons:

Not much really. Wonky floors but all part of the character. Think we’d be wonky after a couple of hundred years 😂

Excellent country hotel in the beautiful Berwyn hills, comfortable rooms, great food
Pros:

It’s a terrific small country hotel, with a beautiful balcony at the bar overlooking the Berwyn hills. There are just four rooms, would recommend the two at the back as they’re away from the road. The rooms are spacious, clean and beds very comfortable with high quality bedding. Bathroom was great. Staff are really friendly and helpful across the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful, delicious and a good range of choices. We also had dinner there which was very nice. Highly recommend staying here!

Pros:

The rooms were clean & tidy, super luxurious bed. The welcome tray was full of Tea, coffee, & bottled water,& plenty of biscuits. The food was amazing, breakfast was gorgeous

Brilliant place - highly recommended.
Pros:

Everything was spot on. Lovely service, great atmosphere, well priced, excellent staff, brilliant food and a lovely location.

Cons:

There was some noise which drifted up from the bar, but a) we went to bed early as we'd had a very hard day, b) the noise was not in any way excessive and finished by about 10, and c) there was a group of locals in the bar so it was good to see a busy pub. Not really a 'dislke', but that's the only small detail I can think of. Anyway, it's a pub. What do you expect?!
