A fine hotel in a great location
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent and location was great for the beach and the pier. The staff were helpful as well.

No air conditioning or sufficient windows in first room offered and during extremely hot spell. Was moved to a room with an independent a/c which helped, but room was in an alternative building, nowhere near as nice as hotel.
Also chose hotel as it was listed as local to my my ‘chosen’ location when in fact it was a 90 minute drive.

We recently stayed for two nights and overall had a lovely break.

As returning customers, we were looking forward to another stay at the hotel. The lobby and bar area are beautiful, modern, and very well decorated, creating a great first impression. The breakfast was excellent, with a fantastic selection, and the Sunday roast was equally excellent.

We stayed in a superior room. Having previously stayed in a superior room at the hotel, we were a little disappointed that this one felt noticeably smaller and hadn’t been updated to the same standard. Our previous superior room was much more spacious and newly decorated. There was also no main ceiling light in the bedroom, only bedside lamps, which made the room feel quite dark. The room temperature was uncomfortable, although the staff were helpful and provided us with an additional fan. The shower was also quite small.

The main disappointment was not being able to use the spa showers after checking out. At check-out, we asked if we could use the spa showers later that afternoon after spending some time at the beach before our 3½-hour drive home. Unfortunately, the request was shut down straight away and we were simply told, Once you’ve checked out, you’ve checked out.Having access to the showers before setting off would have been a really appreciated touch.

As returning customers who spent around £600 over a two-night stay, it felt disappointing that, once we had checked out, we were no longer treated as valued guests. We continued to use the hotel facilities, having lunch in the restaurant and spending additional money at the hotel before leaving, so a little flexibility would have gone a long way and would have left us with a much more positive lasting impression.

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay with excellent food and lovely communal areas.

The staff are all very lovely very helpful made us feel very welcome it’s much appreciated nothing was ever to much what a great team thank you . The hotel is beautiful great facilities spa lovely everything is kept very clean everything there you need and ready when you need it . Breakfast is fantastic lots of great options top quality ingredients. Stayed in a turret room it is stunning hopfully it’s available for our next stay. Thank you everyone at the grand what a place to be.

Only thing I would like it’s more beer selection and the option of a pint not a scooner

The staff were BRILLIANT. Friendly, helpful, above and beyond. The room was clean and light, the spa was immaculate, relaxing. The decor and hotel style is stunning, everything looked and felt intentional, I highly recommend.
