Recommended Houseboat Stay
Pros:

Location away from tourists and touts, in a quiet, natural spot but still close to Ghat 1. Staff is very nice and accomodating. They serve breakfast and dinner, Also shikara tours can be booked with them. Choice of budget or mid range rooms.

Green view group of househoat è una bella struttura situata in una zona periferica e silenziosa del lago. Il proprietario è gentilissimo ed attento ad ogni bisogno dei clienti. Su richiesta prepara ottime colazioni e cene, oltre a poter organizzare una bella escursione sul lago.. Inizialmente si può avere qualche difficoltà ad adattarsi al soggiorno sull'house boat, dopo invece si va via con tanta nostalgia e la sensazione di aver fatto un'esperienza indimenticabile. Struttura super consigliata.

Friendly hosts.
Pros:

Owner, Faizan, was really helpfull, and gave lots of good information about Srinagar etc.
He will paddle you around on the lake as long as you wish, 1 - 6 hours.
1000 rupii/hour. Normal price.
He and his father also make good food for you while onboard the well- maintained houseboat.

The host prepares very tasty breakfasts, and upon request, he can also make an incredible dinner tailored to European tastes and preferences. I truly enjoyed the meals and appreciated the care and attention given to my preferences. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care.

The houseboat is located in a very quiet and beautiful corner of the lake. One of the most memorable experiences was sitting with a fishing rod and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere while fishing directly from the houseboat. These were truly wonderful moments.

The manager was very friendly and generous — he even let me use a boat for a ride on the lake, which made my stay even more special. I felt very welcome and well taken care of during my visit.

I am already planning to come back again, and I would be happy to stay here once more.

Lage und Atmosphäre ist perfekt 👍. Es ist eine kleine Oase mit vielen Vögeln. Preis-Leistung ist akzeptabel.

Cons:

Hat nichts mit der Unterkunft zu tun. Der See ist sehr verdreckt, scheint aber keinen zu interessieren. Die Leute schmeißen immer noch Plastik und Abfall ins Wasser. Srinagar sonst ist eher eine normale indische Stadt, nichts besonderes. Es gibt sehr viele Stromausfälle.
