A friendly, down to earth pub with a reasonable standard of accommodation for the price paid.
Pros:

We arrived on a Thursday which meant we could take advantage of the homemade pizzas the pub offered that night. They were excellent. Great beer on tap, we really enjoyed the Hawkstone IPA and lager. Our room was functional, it felt like it needed a bit of an update but perfectly comfortable. Bar and food service was really friendly and efficient.

Cons:

There was an awful smell on the staircase and landing outside our room, and it has to be said that first impressions weren't great as we climbed the stairs, as the decor looked very bashed around.

Be prepared...this is a neighbourhood pub and some of the language in the bar area was pretty loud and crude, definitely not a place to take kids.

Great two nights at the Bay Horse
Pros:

Very comfy bed very welcoming by all staff the owner very helpful and made me and my wife very welcome Thursday night is pizza and pint night excellent pizza and good choice of beer lager, cider, and spirts will be back

Quick stop over
Pros:

Staff were really friendly, location was lovely and the room was nice and clean, I stayed a night and it was perfect for a stop over, I didn't have my dog with me but I loved it was dog friendly

Cons:

It was great for its price, and amenities did what they needed to, I did think the bathroom could use an update in its decor as a little dated but everything worked fine! So not a big thing

Perfect place on the coast to coast
Pros:

The room was lovely, great comfy bed and large bathroom with bath . Tea coffee facilities, hair dryer . Perfect stay before my last leg of the coast to coast . Great staff

Excellent pub, walks, and staff.
Pros:

Property is absolutely gorgeous, new decking outside to enjoy. Room was clean, presented well and facilities very well maintained. Bed very comfortable! Food from the bar outstanding, speciality was Pizzas and the cooked breakfasts were to die for.

Staff very helpful and couldn’t do anymore to help and ensure our stay was to an exceptional standard. Suggesting walks and having good knowledge of the area. Welcoming whenever we entered the pub and knew our pint order by heart!!!!

Cons:

Only critique we have is the towels were small but were clean. Did the job
