Heel mooi, authentiek verblijf!
Pros:

Grand, old hotel set in beautiful grounds
Pros:

A grand old hotel, with lots of charming features. The bed was comfy and the room, clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Set in beautiful grounds with plenty of places around within walking distance, to explore.

Cons:

There was a mix up with the booking. We'd paid for breakfast through booking.com but it hadn't registered on the hotel's system, so we ended up paying twice. Unfortunately I couldn't find the email confirming the prepayment whilst I was in the hotel, I only found it when I got home. The restaurant was very busy, there were 3 separate coach loads in, but the staff warned us of this and we were offered an early sitting, which worked out fine.

Prima
Pros:

Grote kamer, goed bed

Cons:

Tapijt op de grond in het hele hotel oogt gedateerd en de kamers zijn heel gehorig.

Disappointing due to the lack of sleep
Pros:

The outside of the building

Cons:

That there is no consideration for people sleeping in rooms of the first floor. We were only there for one night and we were awake from 3am due to people coming back from being out and talking loud and then staff getting up for the kitchen duty in the morning. If you are offered a ground floor room, I would refuse it if you want to sleep all night. Staff were super friendly and accommodating - especially the bar staff.

Pros:

The dinner was great value. It was like a sunday dinner back in the day, but tasted good and was very very good value for money. Staff were really nice. very friendly. Its been a grand place in its day. In some areas threadbare carpets and needed a paint but for what you pay it is excellent value. clean and lovely staff

Cons:

Lovely building, views were excellent and staff were lovely. A bit dated and pricey but wasn’t a big issue.
Pros:

Beautiful views, lovely staff and the breakfast was excellent. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, large and well lit.

Cons:

Felt a little bit dated and a bit on the pricey side for what you get. But it is summer to it is to be expected.

People lovely, building magnificent, countryside gorgeous, breakfast great, room too cramped.
Pros:

Breakfast was great. Dining room staff lovely.

Cons:

The room was a little dark and pokey (because the en suite conversation made it cramped. It was fine for my stay, but if I was to have spent more time in the room I would have found it a little claustrophobic.

Enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, super location.
The hotel is a typical old-fashioned spa town hotel. Although the decor is a little tired in places, this is understandable for a building that's around 150 years old. The hotel is comfortable, the food was very good and the staff were friendly and attentive.
We stopped just for one night as were were en-route further west, but would definitely come back sometime and stay longer to explore the local area.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike

Could have easily been so much better.. breakfast spoiled it, and very few guests, so new excuse.
Pros:

lovely old victorian large hotel , public areas very pleasant. Comfy bed, hot water, and fresh carpets, curtains and linen in bedroom.

Cons:

Away from public areas tired paintwork and worn /threadbare carpets in corridors.. but with such a big hotel understandable this would be a major expense in somewhere obviously catering for budget coach parties. Sadly.. atrocious breakfast spoiled the stay. Tepid congealed lukewarm 'hot' buffet, cold rubbery toast, and the continental being just tinned fruits and budget cereals, very disappointing for the price.

Very comfortable and enjoyable
Pros:

The location of my room was perfect. The breakfast was good.

Cons:

The standard of catering for the evening meal was disappointing. But that was the only thing that could have been better. It wasn’t good value for money at all, alas.
