Nice hotel.. hill view superb.. restaurant is good.. distance from Munnar is the only issue.. but the location is calm and we can enjoy peacefulness.. we got a comfortable stay..Faisal and all staff are very friendly.. rooms neat and clean.. rent worth for our money..
Worst travel experience of our life, Please read before booking
My wife and I travelled from Madurai to beautiful Munnar on 1 May 2026 for our couple bike trip. We planned this trip with love, excitement, and trust.
Before starting, we booked through Booking.com at The View Munnar. We got confirmed booking, shared card details, and trusted our room was secured.
We started at 9 AM and rode nearly 7 hours through heavy rain, fog, mountain roads, traffic, and cold weather. Many times we had to stop at bus stops because rain was too heavy. My wife and I were completely soaked, tired, freezing, and exhausted.
Around 4 PM after finally reaching Munnar, I received a call from one lady from the property.
She said:
“You don’t have booking. Don’t come.”
I was shocked.
I told her, “Madam, I have confirmed booking. I am already in Munnar with my wife in heavy rain.”
But she spoke very rudely and showed no concern. She kept saying:
“Don’t come. Booking not confirmed. Room already given to another guest.”
At that moment it was getting dark, we were in an unknown mountain area, fully wet, carrying luggage on bike, and my wife became scared.
I kept thinking, if guest cancels, hotel charges us 100%. Then how can hotel cancel us at the last minute after we travelled all the way?
Instead of helping us, they pushed us to Blue Bells Resort.
The road to that place was steep, slippery, dangerous, and very stressful with luggage and pillion rider.
After reaching, we were freezing and completely wet. I asked for a hair dryer for my wife.
First they said: “Available sir.”
Later: “Bro, sorry… not available… please adjust.”
That became the answer for everything, please adjust.
Room was dusty, poorly maintained, and nothing like what we expected.
Then while sitting on a chair, it broke because of rust. Sharp metal scratched my lower back and caused bleeding.
No first aid.
No bandage.
No emergency support.

Only the view from Balcony.
The cleanliness was lacking majorly everywhere.
Also its a 3 person accomodation but for the 3rd person there was no bed. It was a mattress on floor. It is not at all a 3 star property. Its a 1 star at max. The washroom was also very dim and not up to the expectations for the money that was paid. Overall a very bad experience. The food in restaurant is also horrible. The chicken curry doesn’t justify the price , also not the portions. I will not feed that portion to my dog. Overall a very bad experience.

It was a wonderful experience in the resort. The rooms were clean and the view from the romm balcony was so serene and peaceful.
Food and service was excellent. There customer relation was very satified.

Nothing really
Above the windows it wasn’t fully closed and had nets which made more bugs and noise come inside the room.The toilets were really dirty and it needs an update as the locks were also broken.the room wasn’t cleaned properly and there was dust quite literally everywhere and dirt patches all over the floor.the bedsheets had stains on them and had to ask to change them and it was still unclean.There were no toilet rolls in the toilet and I asked them to give me some but there were bugs in it !
The toilet size can be little bigger.
